The 2017 NFL Schedule rolls into Week 4 as teams look to finish the first quarter of their season with a win. The same can be said for Daily Fantasy Football owners who will look to ride another strong week around the NFL to some serious cash including a chance to take home a top prize of $500k in the FanDuel $2 Million Dollar Sunday Million.
Now luckily for every fantasy football owner, this weekend’s lineup of games is very promising with some key fantasy matchups taking to the field. In all 21 of the 26 teams in action on Sunday are allowing over 300 yards of total offense including two teams allowing over 430 yards of total offense.
Now before we get to our top NFL FanDuel plays for Week 4 of the 2017 NFL Season, let’s take a look at a few of the key matchups that feature offenses that you can build a stack around.
Miami Dolphins – If you are looking build around some the early action in London, you might want to look to build around the New Orleans Saints defense. The Saints enter Week 4 allowing the second most fantasy points to opposing quarter backs, the most fantasy points to opposing running backs and the third most points per game in the NFL.
Carolina Panthers – While we still don’t love taking players against the New England Patriots defense, we just can’t look past the numbers the statistics this week. The Patriots enter this game allowing a league high 31.6 points a contest while ranking first in fantasy points allowed to quarterbacks, second in fantasy points allowed to running backs and seventh in fantasy points allowed to wide receivers.
Here is our Daily Fantasy Football Options we like for Week 4 of the 2017 NFL Season.
Quarterback – Russell Wilson
After looking to build around DeShone Kizer this week, our first thought was to either insert Andy Dalton who has a very solid matchup as well as Brian Hoyer who we love in GPP formats. In the end, Wilson has a matchup against an Indianapolis Colts defense that has struggled at times while also having trouble with their field position. Through their first three games, the Colts have allowed at least 16 fantasy points to each of their opponent’s quarterback.
Other Top Quarterback Options – Cam Newton & Andy Dalton
Sleeper Options – Brian Hoyer (GPP Stud)
Potential Bust – Derek Carr
Running Backs – Christian McCaffrey & Chris Carson
Now for us we are looking at this matchup through a GPP upside helping us to turn to McCaffrey and Carson. Meanwhile going with someone like Le’Veon Bell, Ezekiel Elliott and Todd Gurley are also great options outside of limiting our spending options at wide receiver. For us we expect Cam Newton to look to use the rookie as much as possible in the teams passing attack (11, 5 and 7 targets through the first three weeks). Meanwhile, we expect to see the Seahawks move the ball at will against the Colts while their defense forces some key turnovers helping set up a big day for a number of Seahawks including Carson.
Other Top Running Back Options – Le’Veon Bell, Ezekiel Elliott & Todd Gurley
Sleeper Options – Joe Mixon, Branden Oliver & Alex Collins
Potential Bust – Devonta Freeman & Leonard Fournette
Wide Receivers – Mike Evans, Brandin Cooks & Paul Richardson
We have two combinations we really like at wide receiver with one being the one listed above (Cooks, Evans & Richardson), while the other one includes Antonio Brown, A.J. Green and Marvin Jones (would need to go with a cheaper option at tight end). Look for Tom Brady to continue to get the ball to Cooks fast to allow him to make plays with his feet while also looking for him deep. While Evan’s has a difficult matchup, we like the Bucs to take advantage of some key issues of the Giants. The last of our options is Richardson who should continue to see the ball come his way (7, 5,7 targets over the first three games) with or without Doug Baldwin on the field.
Other Top Wide Receiver Options – Antonio Brown, Odell Beckham, A.J. Green & Julio Jones
Sleeper Options – Marquise Goodwin, Mohamed Sanu & Mike Wallace
Potential Bust – Dez Bryant & Amari Cooper
Tight End – Rob Gronkowski
If you are looking to cash in on Cash contests the Patriots tight end is a sure lock for us this week while also being one of our top options in GPP leagues. For us we expect to see Tom Brady to look to get him involved early while helping to open up the field for his passing game as the team has no real threat out of the backfield. On the lower side, we expect to see Jesse James makes some plays against a Baltimore team that has allowed a league high four touchdown passes to opposing tight ends.
Other Top Tight End Options – Zach Ertz & Jimmy Graham
Sleeper Option – Jesse James
Potential Bust – Delanie Walker
Kicker – Greg Zuerlein
How can you look past Greg Zuerlein this week against a suspect Dallas Cowboys defense? Zuerlein enters Week 4 with seven field goals through his team’s first three games while posting double digit fantasy points in two of those three contests. Add that with the fact this is one of only three NFL games being played in a controlled environment on Sunday makes him even more attractive. Meanwhile we expect to see Justin Tucker bounce back with a strong game at home while Stephen Gostkowski should see a ton of opportunities against the Panthers.
Other Kicker Options – Justin Tucker & Stephen Gostowski
Defense – Tampa Bay Buccaneers
This week the options are thin on the defensive side of the ball when looking at a team to build around. As the Seattle Seahawks look like the obvious choice against an Indianapolis Colts team that has some question marks, the team that really stands out for us is the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. While the Bucs will have a difficult time slowing down Odell Beckham Jr, they will be able to game plan for him as the Giants have struggled to move the ball on the ground.
Other Defensive Options – Seattle Seahawks & Cincinnati Bengals
Don’t forget to set your FanDuel Lineups today to take advantage of some great contests taking place in week 4 including the $4M Sunday Million ($500k top prize).
