Alexander Ovechkin looks to deliver some Valetines Day love to fantasy owners on Fanduel. The Washington Capitals star has been hot since the start of January taking home the leagues first star for his success on the ice. This same success also rolled over for fantasy owners.
When you look at Ovechkin’s last 2 games, he really only had two bad performances finishing with 0.7 fantasy points in one contest and 1.4 in another. In the other eight Ovechkin finished with one fantasy output in the two’s, two in the three’s, one in the fours, two in the 6’s, one 10.5 performance and his best in that stretch a 13 point night.
Along with Ovechkin fantasy owners have a nice nine game lineup to choose from to build their fantasy lineups on Valentines Day. Along with Ovechkin we also like New York Rangers left winger Rick Nash as the team heads to Arizona to take on the Coyotes.
Here is our complete Fanduel lineup for Valentines Day.
LW – Alexander Ovechkin ($9,200): Ovechkin is the highest rated player on the board outside of goalkeepers. That being said the Capitals star has the ability to find the net on nearly every possession.
LW – Rick Nash ($8,500): The Rangers left winger has one of the top fantasy plays on the board going up against a Coyotes team allowing the third most fantasy points to the positon. That being said Nash has been on a tear of late posting at least 5.5 fantasy points in six of his last seven games.
RW – Josh Bailey ($4,200): Bailey is on somewhat of a hot streak putting together back to back contest with over four fantasy points. Add in the fact the New York Islanders take on a Columbus Blue Jackets team allowing the third most fantasy points to the position makes him a must start.
RW – Dale Weise ($4,500): After back-to-back solid fantasy performances, Weise has been limited over his last two contests. Saturday will be a perfect opportunity to take going up against a Toronto team allowing the sixth most goals per contest.
C – Derick Brassard ($5,200): Brassard is exactly what you need to build a solid fantasy lineup around. Over his last ten contests, Brassard has five contests with over four fantasy points.
C – Frans Nielsen ($5,300): Nielson gets his shot at a Columbus team allowing the fifth most goals per game with 3.08 per contest. In his last 10 games, Nielson has five assists and has nine games with at least a shot on goal including two games with four shots and one with seven.
D – P.K. Subban ($5,100): The Montreal Canadians defenseman has been fairly consistent for most of the 2014-15 NHL season. Subban has also shown his ability put up solid fantasy performances with five contests of three or more fantasy points.
D – Niklas Kronwal ($4,500): Kronwal is more of a fantasy bargain than a big time fantasy option allowing us some spending money on a goalie. Luckily for fantasy owners he has three five point contests in his last ten games on the ice.
G – Ryan Miller ($8,500): It is still very early to determine which goalie will be in the net but we like Miller if he gets the nod. If they elect to go with another goalie consider using Cory Schneider or Jonathan Bernier. Miller has three shutouts in his last 10 contests.
