FanDuel Lineup for Saturday May 16

The weather is warming up as we prepare for a little weekend baseball on FanDuel. While tonight’s lineup of games is limited to just 11 games it should still provide a ton of options. The action should be plenty to cash in on tonight on FanDuel. The list of front line starters taking the mound tonight is deep including Felix Hernandez.

Hernandez will be taking the mound tonight as the Seattle Mariners welcome the Boston Red Sox to town. When we look back at his last five starts, Hernandez has posted double digits in each of those starts including back-to-back performances with 22. In all of his starts this season he has only failed to reach double digit in one of seven outings while having three games with over 20.

While Hernandez is a great option we also have a few other stars taking the mound as well in tonight’s lineup of games. The list includes Max Scherzer for the Washington Nationals against the San Diego Padres, Zach Greinke for the Los Angeles Dodgers against the Colorado Rockies and Danny Salazar for the Cleveland Indians against the Texas Rangers.

You could also go a little cheaper for a guy like Ubaldo Jimenez who had his start bumped up one day due to an illness. This move would save you over $4k to work with for other top tier stars on your lineup.

Here is our lineup for tonight’s MLB action on FanDuel for Saturday May 16th.

P – Felix Hernandez ($11,500): While it was a difficult debate we ended up going with the nearly certain double digit fantasy performance. The downside is we will have to look for some FanDuel bargains throughout the remainder of the positions.

C – Mike Zunino ($2,500): Catchers are a difficult play early in the day as managers typically like to give them a day off here and there. That being said if you look back at Zunino success of late he has typically put up some solid fantasy numbers after back-to-back games that he struggled in.

First Base – Adrian Gonzalez ($4,500): This was a simple call tonight based on Gonzalez’s past success against Jorge De La Rosa. The Dodgers first baseman is hitting .370 with three home runs and 14 runs driven in against the Rockies starter in 46 at bats.

Second Base – Danny Espinosa ($2,600): We needed to find a few bargains to make the top two plays work in our lineup. The Nationals infielder has played well of late turning in eight straight positive fantasy number performances over his last 10 games.

Third Base – Lonnie Chisenhall ($2,600): The Cleveland Indians third baseman got the night off last night but we expect him back in the lineup tonight. When looking around the Majors we looked at value FanDuel bargains that are playing in hitter ball parks and tonight the Indians are in the Ball Park at Arlington.

Short Stop – Alcides Escobar ($2,800): While the Kansas City Royals infielder won’t provide you with a ton of home run power he does however get on base often and scores a bunch of runs including 10 over his last 10 games while picking up 15 hits.

Outfielder – Jay Bruce ($2,400): Bruce has struggled all season despite picking up five home runs in his first 34 games. Based on this his fantasy value is down making him a great value play as a FanDuel bargain with a potential to hit it out of the ball park almost any night of the week.

Outfielder – Jacob Marisnick ($2,500): Sticking with FanDuel bargains landed us with the Houston Astros outfielder. Marisnick has five doubles, two triples, three home runs and 14 runs driven in in 33 games this season. If we would have just went with a guy like Ubaldo it would have simplified us on a few of these bargains.

Outfielder – Adam Jones ($3,600): We are still waiting for Jones to break out with a few of those performances we saw from him early on in the season. In the end his ability to hit the long ball and get hot in streaks makes him a great play at $3,600.
