FanDuel MLB Lineup for Wednesday August 12th

The MLB FanDuel action continues to heat up as we look to cash in on Wednesday. Overall all 30 Major League Baseball teams are in action giving fantasy owners a wide open roster to build from. This also gives fantasy owners a chance to not only cash in during the night but also during the afternoon with a five game lineup to build from as well.

For us we are turning our focus towards the FanDuel action getting underway at 7:05pm ET. This includes ten key matchups to build from including a few of the top pitching options in all of baseball including Clayton Kershaw for the Los Angeles Dodgers, Jacob deGrom for the New York Mets, Gerrit Cole for the Pittsburgh Pirates and Micahel Wacha for the St. Louis Cardinals.

Now the question we continue to ask ourselves is whether or not we should go expensive with someone like Kershaw or try to find a FanDuel bargain like Nicholas Martinez for the Texas Rangers. Martinez is a solid option at $6,200 and would free up nearly $7k in salary savings.

Here is our MLB FanDuel lineup for Wednesday August 12th, 2015.

P – Clayton Kershaw ($13,000): Despite the salary that Kershaw carries we elected to go with the best starting option available. Kershaw struggled in his last outing but prior to that start, Kershaw had posted nine straight double digit fantasy performances.

Option 2 – Nicholas Martinez ($6,200) & Option 3 – Andrew Heaney ($7,100)

Catcher – Miguel Montero ($2,200): Montero will be a gamble play at just $2,200 but we suggest monitoring the MLB Daily Lineups to ensure he is in the lineup. The Chicago Cubs catcher is eight for 19 in his career against Matt Garza with one home run.

Option 2- Stephen Vogt ($2,300) & Option 3 – Russell Martin ($3,000)

First Base – Prince Fielder ($3,900): The move to play Fielder and Kershaw in the same lineup limits us with spending cash. Fielder will get a key matchup against Mike Pelfrey who he is 10 for 28 against with five career home runs and 12 runs batted in.

Option 2 – Pedro Alvarez ($2,500) & Adrian Gonzalez ($3,600)

Second Base – Scooter Gennett ($2,200): Gennett might not be the favorite play for the night but at only $2,200 makes him a great FanDuel bargain. The Milwaukee Brewers second baseman has put together a few solid fantasy games over the past 10 games.

Option 2 – Kolten Wong ($2,800) & Neil Walker ($3,000)

Third Base – Miguel Sano ($2,800): Sano has been solid for fantasy owners as well as for the Minnesota Twins. Sano has two home runs, five runs driven in and four runs scored over his last ten games.

Option 2 – Kris Bryant ($3,300) & Matt Carpenter ($3,900)

Short Stop – Jean Segura ($2,200): Segura is another FanDuel bargain tomorrow night as the Brewers head to Chicago to take on the Cubs. If you elect to go cheaper at the starting pitching spot you can spend on a better option at short stop.

Option 2 – Jimmy Rollins ($2,800) & Francisco Lindor ($3,000)

Outfielder – Brandon Moss ($2,400): We continue to look for cheap options to man our team to free up some salary cap relief. Moss has the power to help carry any fantasy team any night of the week.

Outfielder – David DeJesus ($2,200): The Los Angeles Angels outfielder is another great cheap option to free up some salary. DeJesus has hit John Danks well in 25 career at bats picking up nine hits as well as three extra base hits.

Outfielder – Adam Eaton ($4,000): Eaton continues to swing a hot bat for the Chicago White Sox. This includes picking up three straight games with at least three fantasy points as well as four additional games with over 4.5 fantasy points.

Option 4 – Nick Markakis ($3,100), Yoenis Cespedes ($3,600) & Mike Trout ($5,000)
