FanDuel NFL Lineup for Week 4 Starting Thursday

Fanduel MLB $5 contest 728X90

The 2015 NFL season continues to roll along as week 4 gets underway for FanDuel owners Thursday Night Football. This week’s first contest features one of the biggest rivalries in all of sports as the Baltimore Ravens travel north up to Pittsburgh to take on the Steelers.

As we start to not only take a look at the Thursday Night Matchup for week 4 but the entire rest of the lineup we first wanted to take a look at any key injuries that could play a key role this week. Then we wanted to take a look at the defensive stat sheets to see which teams are struggling to stop the run and which teams are struggling to stop the pass.

That led us to building our lineup around a few key players on the Thursday Night lineup including wide receiver Antonio Brown. Despite losing Ben Roethlisberger for the next few weeks we expect Michael Vick as well as the entire Steelers coaching staff to keep the All-Pro wide receiver involved in the workload from the start to the final whistle of the game.

Along with Brown the other key player that has showed up the past few weeks has been the veteran Steve Smith. Smith posted a season high 37.1 fantasy points in week 3 following up his 20 point fantasy week in week 2. Now one Fantasy Bargain that could have a big week is the Steelers backup quarterback. Roethlisberger has thrown for the third most yards in the NFL through the first three games of the 2015 NFL season.

Here is our week 4 NFL lineup for FanDuel including Thursday Night Football.

Quarterback – Aaron Rodgers ($9,200): We elected to take the hottest quarterback in the NFL entering week 3. We also considered a few other options including Michael Vick against a struggling Ravens secondary. The one contest that could become a shootout is the Buffalo Bills verse New York Giants game making both Eli Manning and Tyrod Taylor great Fantasy plays.

Other Top Fantasy Quarterback options include Michael Vick, Tyrod Taylor and Cam Newton.

Running Back – C.J. Spiller ($5,500): While Spiller has been quiet this week rumors have been swirling that the New Orleans Saints expect to get him more involved in the teams offense. Look for Spiller to be one of the Fantasy Sleepers for week 4 of the 2015 NFL season.

Running Back – Melvin Gordon ($6,800): It is very easy to use any of the San Diego Chargers running back options going up against a struggling Cleveland Browns defense. The Browns enter week 4 allowing nearly 160 yards per game on the ground.

Other Top Running Back options include Bilal Powell (Monitor Chris Ivory Injury), Carlos Hyde and Le’Veon Bell.

Wide Receiver – Antonio Brown ($8,900): We expect to see the Steelers wide receiver to be used in a ton of fantasy leagues this week. That being said if you feel comfortable going with someone else it could help you in the larger GPP formats if you can find someone cheaper that puts together a big game. In the end it will be hard to pass up Brown against this Ravens secondary.

Wide Receiver – Percy Harvin ($5,700): Reports are indicating that second year wide receiver Sammy Watkins is expected to miss the teams week 4 contest. This should mean both Harvin and Robert Woods will be more active in the Bills passing attack.

Wide Receiver – Odell Beckham Jr ($9,100): This is one of those games that could either put you atop the leader board or break. That being said neither of these teams have stopped opposing wide receivers as they both sit near the top in the NFL in passing yards allowed.

Other Top Wide Receiver options include Steve Smith, Josh Bellamy (Watch the Alshon Jeffery injury news later today), A.J. Green, Ty Montgomery (Fantasy Sleeper) and T.Y. Hilton.

Tight End – Maxx Williams ($4,700): Williams fantasy stock rises as Crockett Gilmore is expected to miss the teams game on Thursday Night Football. That being said we have seen Joe Flacco turn in some solid performances against the Steelers on Prime Time.

Other Top Tight End options include Martellus Bennett, Tyler Eifert and Larry Donnell.

Kicker – Mason Crosby ($5,000): When we started to look at Fantasy Kickers we looked at games that could be high scoring as well as games that are taking place in either domes or outside of the east coast as wet weather could strike the coast. That landed us with the Green Bay Packers kicker as they should have an opportunity to post some points against the San Francisco 49ers in week 4.

Other Top Kicker options include Dan Bailey, Chandler Catanazaro and Brandon McManus.

Defense – Carolina Panthers ($4,800): We expect the Panthers defense to slow down the struggling Tampa Bay Buccaneers offense. We also liked a few other teams this week including the Arizona Cardinals, Indianapolis Colts and San Diego Chargers.
