Carson Palmer, Larry Fiztgerald sit as top FanDuel plays heading into week 7 of the 2015 NFL season. This quarterback/wide receiver tandem will look to lead there Arizona Cardinals over a struggling Baltimore Ravens team in a game that has the potential to see some points scored on Monday Night Football.
Over the past few weeks the Ravens secondary has struggled to slow down opposing quarterbacks that includes Derek Carr of the Oakland Raiders who finished with over 27 fantasy points, Josh McCown for the Cleveland Browns who finished with 35 fantasy points and even Colin Kaepernick put together a solid game during week 6.
That being said Joe Flacco could be another solid option despite playing a solid Cardinals defense. Flacco has been solid on prime time leading the Ravens to a 4-1 record over his last five games. This could open up another solid fantasy option in wide receiver Steve Smith who bounced back after missing the teams game two weeks ago to record 23 fantasy points last weekend.
While the Ravens/Cardinals game has the potential to be a solid fantasy option the other big fantasy matchup in week 7 is the Indianapolis Colts taking on the New Orleans Saints. This contest is slated to be a high scoring game that currently sits wit an over/under of 52 making it the highest total of the weekend.
As you look at each of these teams neither of them have shown the ability to slow down opposing quarterbacks making both Andrew Luck and Drew Brees great fantasy plays. It also opens up other solid fantasy plays like T.Y. Hilton, Coby Fleener and Benjamin Watson.
Here is our Week 7 NFL FanDuel lineup with options.
Quarterback – Drew Brees ($8,400): While we love the Carson Palmer matchup in week 7 we decided in the end Brees is also a great fantasy play. In the end either quarterback will make a good matchup so team that up with a few of their teammates for a great stack for week 7.
Other top NFL FanDuel Quarterback Options include Carson Palmer, Andrew Luck and Philip Rivers.
Running Back – Todd Gurley ($7,400): Gurley is another one of those easy fantasy plays for week 7 against a very bad Cleveland Browns defense. Entering week 7 the Browns defense is allowing the most yards per game on the ground in the NFL.
Running Back – Christopher Ivory ($7,800): While we left some cash on the table we ended up going with the New York Jets running back this weekend. Ivory has been great for fantasy owners posting over 22 fantasy points in three of his last four contests.
Other top NFL FanDuel Running Back Options include Adrian Peterson, Arian Foster, Latavius Murry and Mark Ingram.
Wide Receiver – Larry Fitzgerald ($7,800): Despite not opting to use Carson Palmer we still went with his go to wide receiver this week. You could also look to a cheaper option in either John Brown who is listed as questionable or Michael Floyd from this matchup.
Wide Receiver – Willie Snead ($6,500): Since we went with quarterback Drew Brees we elected to go with one of his wide receivers. While Brandin Cooks might look better, Snead has been solid over the past few weeks and if Brees can find him in the end zone this week he has a chance to put up some solid fantasy numbers.
Wide Receiver – Donte Moncrief ($6,500): Moncrief is another wide receiver option with some fantasy value that gives our team some salary cap relief. The Colts receiver has posted double digit fantasy numbers in all but one of the teams contests this season.
Other top NFL FanDuel Wide Receiver Options include Keenan Allen (Monitor Injury Status), DeAndre Hopkins, Kendall Wright, Calvin Johnson, Mike Evans and Ted Ginn Jr.
Tight End – Antonio Gates ($5,800): Yes we could elect to go with Rob Gronkowski each week and be happy with it. That being said Gates frees up some salary as well as gives us one of the top tight end fantasy matchups of the weekend. Gates gets a shot at a Oakland Raiders defense that has struggled to stop opposing tight ends all season.
Other top NFL FanDuel Tight End Options include Rob Gronkowski, Coby Fleener and Jordan Cameron.
Kicker – Greg Zuerlein ($4,600): The St. Louis Rams kicker has a favorable matchup in week 7 against a Cleveland Browns team that has struggled on the defensive side of the ball. Add in the fact this is one of a few games being played in side a dome this week makes it an even more attractive fantasy play.
Other top NFL FanDuel Kicker Options include Chandler Catanzaro, Travis Koons, Dan Bailey.
Defense – St. Louis Rams ($4,500): While the Rams haven’t looked good at times this season they have looked really good at home especially on the defensive side of the ball. Look for their front seven to make some noise against a Browns offensive line that has struggled.
Other top NFL Defense Options include Pittsburgh Steelers, Houston Texans and San Diego Chargers.
