NFL FanDuel Lineup For January 9-10, 2016

Fanduel NFL turn $25 into $300K 650X80

The march to Super Bowl 50 continues this weekend as Wild Card Weekend gets started on Saturday giving fantasy owners another week to cash in on FanDuel. For FanDuel owners the only difference from last week to this week is the limited amount of teams to build your roster from.

The NFL action gets underway later this afternoon as the Kansas City Chiefs head to take on the Houston Texans. That game will be followed by an AFC North battle as the Pittsburgh Steelers travel to Cincinnati to take on the Bengals. On Sunday the NFC round of Wild Card Weekend takes place as the Seattle Seahawks travel to Minnesota to take on the Vikings in the first game followed the Green Bay Packers traveling to take on the Washington Redskins.

That being said we started building our FanDuel roster by looking at the eight quarterbacks taking the field. For us two quarterbacks we decided to stay away from was Teddy Bridewater (cold temperatures should force both teams to run) and Brian Hoyer (injury concerns). Along with Bridgewater we are also afraid to use Russell Wilson despite his strong second half with much of it due to the temperature set to be at around zero degrees with the wind chill in the negatives.

As we look a little deeper Ben Roethlisberger looks to be a bad play this weekend as well after putting together two disappointing performances against the Bengals during the regular season. The Steelers quarterback posted 11.48 points in their first meeting and 10.88 points in their second meeting. That being said the team will be without both DeAngelo Williams and Le’Veon Bell.

Here is our NFL FanDuel lineup for Wild Card Weekend kicking off on January 9th, 2016.

QB – Kirk Cousins ($8,000): In the end we felt comfortable going with either Cousins or Aaron Rodgers in this matchup. Cousins is currently riding four straight games with at least 19 fantasy points including two of those games with at least 32 fantasy points.

RB – Alfred Morris ($5,500): For us this matchup looks like the best potential for a high scoring contest making a few possible fantasy plays from both of these teams. That being said we elected to go with Morris against the Green Bay Packers as we expect their defense to look to slow down Cousins.

RB – Spencer Ware ($5,400): Outside of Peterson the running back position is a toss up between all the options available. That being said we elected to go with a sleeper option with Ware over his teammate Charcandrick West.

WR – Antonio Brown ($9,500): Despite the struggles of Roethlisberger against the Bengals this season Brown still managed to post double digit fantasy numbers in both of those games.

WR – DeAndre Hopkins ($8,800): In the end we elected to go with a few of the top wide receivers around the NFL to build our roster with. We elected to go with Brown and Hopkins but we could have flipped A.J. Green in for either of those two.

WR – Marvin Jones ($5,500): While Green looks like the favorable play based on his success against the Steelers during the regular season. We elected to go against him with his teammate Jones to save cap space while expecting the Steelers to focus on shutting down Green this weekend opening up the chances for the other Bengals wide receivers.

TE – Jordan Reed ($7,400): Reed was an easy decision at the tight end position after electing to go with his quarterback. If we had gone with Rodgers we would have went with his tight end Richard Rodgers. Reed prior to last week had three 22 plus fantasy performances over a three game stretch with five total touchdowns.

K – Carlos Santos ($4,800): Looking at a few of the weather conditions around the country landed us with Santos. Santos and the Chiefs will take on the Texans inside a dome giving both of the kickers in this game an ideal climate to kick in.

Def – Seattle Seahawks ($5,100): While we have to worry about Adrian Peterson having a big game, we still liked the Seahawks in this matchup. We don’t expect either team to be throwing the ball a lot due to the cold weather leaving each team to stop the run.
