The workweek won’t slow us down as we all look to cash in on some Major League Baseball action tonight on FanDuel. Now that being said we won’t have the same luxury full schedule as we did yesterday but we do have a nice nine game slate to build from as the rest of the action gets underway early on Wednesday.

Now as we start to look at tonight’s slate of games we will continue to build around the starting pitching slot. As we start to look at the options on the mound tonight we could look at a few options at the top of the list as well as a few fantasy sleepers that could reward us with a big time payday.

At the top of the list tonight the list includes Noah Syndergaard, Jordan Zimmerman, John Lackey, Max Scherzer and Kenta Maeda. Looking a little deeper at each of these options have crossed of Syndergaard (failed to reach 30 fantasy points in back to back starts) and Zimmerman (difficult matchup against a very good Washington Nationals lineup).

That leaves us a few options we do like including John Lackey who is coming off an impressive 60 point fantasy outing in his last start against a very good Nationals team. Tonight he will get a shot at a much lesser San Diego Padres squad tonight. The other two options are solid as well as we expect Scherzer to bounce back tonight while Maeda has turned in at least 30 fantasy points in all but on start this season.

The last of the fantasy options we like tonight on the mound comes in the form of a fantasy sleeper. That option is Philadelphia Phillies starter Jerad Eickhoff as he gets to face off an Atlanta Braves team that continues to rank near the bottom of the game in nearly every offensive category. Over the last four games the starters opposing the Braves have turned in fantasy performances of 48, 36, 27 and 42 points.

In the end here is our MLB FanDuel lineup for Wednesday May 11th, 2016.

SP – Jerad Eickhoff ($6,900): We are looking at Eickhoff as a dark horse tonight against the same struggling Braves team that his teammate took advantage of last night. Now if you are looking to play in cash leagues you might want to play it safe with Lackey or Maeda tonight as they are much safer fantasy plays.

C – Jarrod Saltalamacchia ($2,500): The Detroit Tigers catcher is a solid fantasy play tonight but we suggest monitoring to see if he will be in the lineup as he was limited to just one at bat over the past two games. On a positive not he has hit Scherzer well going six for 15 with three extra base hits including a home run.

1B – Billy Butler ($2,000): The deep fantasy sleeper of the night for us is the Oakland A’s first baseman. Butler is 19 for 52 off of Ricky Porcello with six extra base hits and ten runs driven in.

2B – Brandon Phillips ($2,800): Now we tossed around both Phillips and Daniel Murphy to start tonight at second base. We ended up going with the cheaper of the two options but if you like Murphy you will just need to go with a cheaper option at either third base or one of the outfield slots to free up the salary cap space. That being said Phillips is five for 11 off of Juan Nicasio with a home run and three runs batted in.

3B – Kris Bryant ($4,600): Since we rolled with a few solid fantasy sleeper options it freed up the salary to spend heavy at third base and the outfield slots. That allowed us to go with Bryant who has been red hot posting at least 16 fantasy points in three straight games. One cheaper fantasy option we like tonight at third base is Travis Shaw for the Boston Red Sox.

SS – Alcides Escobar ($2,600): We are sticking with the Kansas City Royals short stop tonight against the New York Yankees. Escobar has turned in at least six fantasy points in seven of his last ten games including the previous two games against the Yankees. Another option we like tonight is Aledmys Diaz for the St. Louis Cardinals who has turne din at least six fantasy points in five straight games including three games with at least 12.

OF – Andrew McCutchen ($4,200): McCutchen continues to be a solid fantasy option night in and night out for his fantasy owners. That includes posting 12 fantasy points in three straight games and four of his last five.

OF – Mike Trout ($4,800): How can we not stack the outfield slots with the best players in the game. That landed us with Trout tonight against the St. Louis Cardinals while we also considered Bryce Harper in this slot.

OF – Giancarlo Stanton ($4,400): You can say Stanton is in a slump after failing to hit a home run in four straight games while failing to post a fantasy point in three straight games. On the flip side, Stanton is one of those players who can break out with a multi home run game any night.
