Top FanDuel Plays for Week 4 of the 2016 NFL Season

Fanduel NFL GENERAL 20-08-2016

The quarter mark of the season for most NFL teams has arrived as Week 4 of the 2016 NFL Season kicks off on Sunday. As we get ready to build our NFL FanDuel and DraftKings lineups we took a deep look at a few of the key positions that play a key role in determining if and how much cash you can take home.

At the front of that list is the quarterback position where top options need to reward you with at least 20 fantasy points. One of those starters is Drew Brees who has two games with over 26 fantasy points over his first three starts. Then there is Ben Roethlisbeger who has two games with at least 21 fantasy points.

The other position that has been key this season has been the wide receiver position as we have not seen a bunch of 100 yard rushers to this point. At the top of the list are guys like Antonio Brown, and Julio Jones. But the real test is finding an option that can reward you with big time production but also frees up some additional salary cap.

Here is our list of top FanDuel Fantasy Options for week 4 of the NFL Season.

Starting Quarterback FanDuel

Cam Newton, Carolina Panthers: Newton is our top option at the quarterback position against an Atlanta Falcons team that has allowed a ton of points. Through the first three games the Falcons are tied for the most touchdown passes allowed (10) in the NFL.

Other Quarterback Options to consider: Drew Brees, Joe Flacco and Brian Hoyer (Fantasy Sleeper).

Starting Running Back FanDuel

Melvin Gordon, San Diego Chargers: One thing is for certain and that is the New Orleans Saints continue to struggle on defense. This should be a big plus for Gordon this week as he gets to face off against a Saints team that is tied for the most rushing touchdowns allowed with six.

Spencer Ware, Kansas City Chiefs: Here is another strong candidate at the running back position especially if the team looks to get him the ball through the air. The Steelers have allowed a combined 491 yards and five touchdowns to opposing backs this season.

Other Running Backs to consider: Le’Veon Bell, Isaiah Crowell, Jordan Howard, Dwyane Washington and Terrance West.

Starting Wide Receiver FanDuel

Jamison Crowder, Washington Redskins: While Crowder might not be the big name on the Redskins depth chart he is whoever the best fantasy option this weekend. Crowders has posted touchdowns in back to back games while being targeted at least seven times in all four games this season.

Breshad Perriman, Baltimore Ravens: We also considered both Mike Wallace and Steve Smith to this point. In the end we feel like the Ravens will get creative in the pass as the running game has struggled something that should open the door for Perriman to get the ball in space against a poor Oakland Raiders secondary.

Demaryius Thomas: At the front of the top options this weekend is Thomas as well as his teammate Emmanuel Sanders. Entering Sunday the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense had allowed seven touchdown receptions to opposing receivers in the first three games.

Other Wide Receivers to consider include: Antonio Brown, Terrelle Pryor Sr, Kelvin Benjamin, Michael Thomas, Anquan Boldin and Julian Edelman.

Starting Tight End FanDuel

Zach Miller, Chicago Bears: The tight end position is one of those you could save some salary cap space with. For us we love Miller on Sunday against a Detroit Lions team that has struggled to slow down opposing tight ends (216 receiving yards and five touchdowns).

Other Tight Ends to consider include: Dennis Pitta and Greg Olsen.

Starting Kicker FanDuel

Justin Tucker, Baltimore Ravens: As long as the Ravens continue to struggle to find the end zone Tucker will be our go to kicker. The Ravens kicker took home the Special Teams Player of the Month award as he nailed nine field goals including a few game winners.

Other Kickers to consider include: Graham Gano and Chandler Catanzaro.

Starting Defense FanDuel

Arizona Cardinals: Outside of Todd Gurley the Cardinals should be able to dominate this contest against a Rams team that has struggled on offense. Two of the three defenses that have faced off against the Los Angeles Rams posted double digit fantasy numbers ( Tampa Bay 10 Points and San Francisco 16 Points).

Other Defenses to consider include: Baltimore Ravens, Seattle Seahawks and Houston Texans.
