The 2016 NFL Season rolls into week 14 as fantasy owners prepare for another action packed week of football. For Daily Fantasy Football owners this will just be another exciting weekend to cash in on sites like FanDuel and DraftKings. Meanwhile many Season Long Fantasy Football owners open up the first rounds of their playoff stretch.
In the end we could all use a few fantasy sleepers this weekend to help propel us past our competition. On Daily Fantasy Football sites those Fantasy Sleeper options will open up additional spending opportunities while in Season Long Leagues it may be one of those players stashed on your bench.
One of those fantasy sleeper options is wide receiver Albert Wilson who will look to help his Kansas City Chiefs to a prime time win on Thursday Night Football. Wilson enters this game with two double digit fantasy performances over his last five games while being targeted a 28 times over that stretch. While this play is more for the Season Long option as we turn most of our attention to the Sunday NFL Fantasy action he is still a viable option on Thursday FanDuel leagues carrying just a $4,500 salary.
With all that said here are some key Fantasy Sleepers for week 14 of the 2016 NFL Season.
Quarterback Fantasy Sleepers – Bryce Petty
The New York Jets quarterback will take over the starting job for what looks like the final four weeks of the regular season. While season long Fantasy Owners will look to stay cautious with their main starters, Petty is a perfect FanDuel Sleeper with a salary cap hit of just $6,100 to help take home the GPP cash. For us Petty has a very viable matchup against a San Francisco 49ers team that has allowed 3,064 passing yards to go with 26 touchdown passes on the year.
Running Back Fantasy Sleepers – Justin Forsett & Kenneth Dixon
At the running back position it is a little more difficult to find a pair of Fantasy Sleepers that could help you turn in a big time fantasy performance. Starting in Baltimore, Dixon continues to be a factor in the Ravens attack on both the ground as well in there passing attack (4 targets in three of the teams last four games). Meanwhile Forsett will be looking to produce for his third team this season and should see a solid dose of the action for the Denver Broncos with his past success with Gary Kubiak as his offensive coordinator.
Other fantasy sleeper running backs for week 14 we like include Dion Lewis (pass catching threat), Jacquizz Rodgers (Depends on injury status of Doug Martin) and Ryan Mathews (Injury Status).
Wide Receiver Fantasy Sleepers – Quincy Enunwa, Tyler Boyd & Marqise Lee
While none of these three names are household names entering week 14 they do however have potential to put together big time fantasy performances. Enunwa should benefit from having Petty take over under center as well as the fact he gets to face a 49ers defense that has allowed a league high 20 touchdown receptons to wide receivers. Meanwhile Lee continues to be a favorite of Blake Bortles (targeted at least six times in five straight games), while Body slowly emerges a threat in the Cincinnati Bengals offense.
Other fantasy sleeper wide receivers for week 14 include Breshad Perriman, Tyler Lockett, Torrey Smith and Terrance Williams.
Tight End Fantasy Sleeper – Vernon Davis
As long as Jordan Reed is inactive with a shoulder injury Davis should be a real threat at the tight end position. Last week Davis was targeted six times while managing to pick up five catches for 47 yards against a very good Arizona Cardinals defense. This weekend he has a much more favorable matchup against a Philadelphia Eagles defense that has allowed four touchdowns to opposing tight ends. Add that with the there recent defensive struggles make Davis a strong tight end option in week 14.
Other fantasy sleeper tight ends for week 14 include Dennis Pitta and Tony Moeaki.
