Ichiro Suzuki, Andrew Cashner look to lead fantasy owners on Friday August 29th. Suzuki and the New York Yankees travel up to Canada to take on American League East rivals the Toronto Blue Jays with Mark Buehrle on the mound. In his career Suzuki has put together a .462 batting average with 24 hits in 52 career at bats against the righty.
In San Diego, Cashner will take his past success to the mound as he faces off against the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Dodgers hitters are hitting .205 against the right hander in 83 career at bats. Cashner success doesn’t stop there as he has been able to keep a very powerful Dodgers lineup in the ball park allowing zero home runs and only two runs. For his career Cashner has a 1.35 earned run average in four starts verse the Dodgers.
This will Cashner’s second start after missing two months of the season with a shoulder injury. On August 23rd, Cashner allowed two earned runs in five innings against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Prior to his injury Cashner had posted a 2.36 earned run average in 12 starts allowing less than two earned runs in 10 of those contests.

Seth Smith, Outfielder: The Padres outfielder has picked up 13 career hits in 33 at bats verse the Dodgers Josh Beckett. Smith has shown some power picking up seven extra base hits including three home runs and nine runs batted in.
Carlos Beltran, Outfielder: The Yankees outfielder has four career home runs in 38 career at bats verse Mark Buehrle. Beltran heads into Thursday game with a five game hitting streak with two extra base hits and two runs batted in.
Neil Walker, Second Baseman: Walker and the Pittsburgh Pirates host the Cincinnati Reds at home over the weekend. On Friday Night Walker gets a chance to add to his success against Reds starter Mike Leake. In 35 career at bats Walker has 11 hits including five extra base hits, seven walks and 11 runs batted in.
David Ortiz, Designated Hitter: In only 12 at bats verse Chris Archer, Ortiz has posted some solid fantasy numbers including five hits and eight runs batted in. Ortiz’s bat has started to come alive of late as he has 19 hits in his last 37 at bats including four home runs and 10 runs batted in.
Felix Hernandez, Starting Pitcher: Hernandez had his consecutive start streak with two or fewer runs snapped in his last start but was able to finish with only three earned runs. The Mariners starter has posted a 2-1 record with a 2.45 earned run average in the month of August.
Kyle Hendricks, Starting Pitcher: One of the big bright spots in the Chicago Cubs rotation has been Hendricks. Hendricks has been limited to only eight starts this season but has dominated in six of the eight performances. Over a six game span Hendricks allowed only four earned runs in 42.2 innings pitched.
