Nikita Kucherov looks to lead the charge on Thursday as top NHL Fanduel bargain. The Tampa Bay Lightning right winer has four games with over five fantasy points in the teams last ten games. That includes games with 8.6, 13.4 and 9.7 over that same stretch with fantasy owners looking for that success to role over on Thursday Night.
The Lightning host the San Jose Sharks at home as one of nine games that will be in action. This is a perfect play for someone looking to get a key fantasy bargain as the Sharks have allowed the eleventh most goals per game on the season. Kucherov’s low salary of $3,100 opens up the door for adding multiple stars on your daily lineup.
Kucherov is just one of a handful of top Fanduel bargains for the NHL on Thursday Night. In all seven of the top ten teams in goals allowed per game are in action including the Buffalo Sabres and Dallas Stars who both have allowed the second most goals per game at 3.47 only trailing Columbus. The other NHL teams include the Arizona Coyotes (4th most), Edmonton Oilers (5th most), Colorado Avalanche (6th most), Carolina Hurricanes (8th most) and the New York Rangers (9th most).
Jared Spurgeon, Minnesota Wild ($4,300): Concerns over his shoulder surgery may have some fantasy owners staying away. This could be a plus for the owners electing to start him based on participation in an option practice on Wednesday. In nine games this season the Wild’s defenseman has two goals along with four assist.
Alec Martinez, Los Angeles Kings ($4,700): Martinez is coming off his best game of the season as he finished with three assists in route to a 10.6 fantasy performance. The Kings take on a Dallas team that has allowed the second most fantasy points in the NHL.
Brad Marchand, Boston Bruins ($6,700): As much as Marchand isn’t the cheapest player on the roster we know that he always plays well against the Montreal Canadiens in his hometown of Montreal with his friends and family in the stands. With 10 points so far this season and +7 you can count on him for a solid performance.
Martin St-Louis, New York Rangers ($5,600): After 15 games this season, St-Louis has accomplished 12 points and a +1 rating. Eventhough he has had a slow start to his season we believe he can always for produce for most fantasy leagues. Definitely a player to consider for your fantasy hockey league.
Alex Galchenyuk, Montreal Canadiens ($4,000): After 16 games and 259 minutes of ice time Galchenyuk has accumulated only 9 points. We like the fact that he has been reunited with linemates Brendan Gallagher and Tomas Plekanec. At a cost of $4,000, we feel he is a bargain for tonight against the “Big Bad Bruins”.
