Strategies
FanDuel can be a very exciting place if you’re just starting out. All the contests and multitude of players can simply overwhelm you. There are sure-fire ways you can use in order to get an advantage over the opposition. Whether you are playing in a league, tournament or a head-to-head battle, it is important to do your due diligence prior to entering your lineup.
One of the ways to win at FanDuel is having a team of players around the $6000-$7000 price range so that you have players who can potentially put up big numbers that are relatively inexpensive. A few players who are in this category are:
1) Enes Kanter: $5800: For only $5800 you can get Kanter who will most likely produce about 30 points for you. He is especially more valuable now if Favors cannot play anytime soon. Kanter doesn’t really produce defensive stats that he should, but he gets a steady amount of points and rebounds, which is good enough to return value for his price.
2) Luol Deng: $6100: Deng used to be able to put up huge numbers for Chicago where he was playing a lot of minutes. Now that he is playing for the Heat, his role has diminished considerably. However, the Heat are low on quality players right now with McRoberts likely out for the rest of the season, Bosh out for an indefinite period, and Wade’s topsy-turvy health. The Heat will need Deng to produce in a big way if they want to compete so this is a great bargain for the value.
3) Gorgui Dieng: $6400: Dieng has been shifted into a starting role ever since Pekovic has been sidelined with multiple injuries. Though he does not score as much as Pekovic, Dieng can produce numbers with rebounds, steals and blocks. He has recently been averaging close to 30.0 points for FanDuel, which makes him a logical choice for an inexpensive center. With no one really to challenge for his minutes, Dieng should have an all you can eat buffet of sorts when playing. Choose Dieng if you need good value at the center position.
4) Bradley Beal: $6600: Bradley Beal has had a slow start in his return from injury. He has a lot to prove this year especially when claiming that Wall and he are the best backcourt combination in the NBA. Beal has improved in each year of his NBA career. Over his last 2 games, he has produced an average of 40.5 points for FanDuel. These are monster points for someone you can get at $6600. Now would be the best time to get Beal at a bargain and while he is on a good streak. Beal is easily one of the higher upside players at the mid level.
5) Corey Brewer: $5500: Brewer has been on a tear for the Timberwolves who are in need of help. With Pekovic, Rubio and Martin all sidelined with different injuries, Brewer has seen an uptick in usage. What’s great about Brewer is that he can contribute in virtually every category across the board especially at the defensive end. Why is this important? Defensive stats are valued higher than any other stat on FanDuel and this is where Brewer excels. Brewer can also produce points, rebounds and assists and will give you great value for what he is worth. Choose Brewer now while he is on a roll.

These 5 players will give you the best bang for your buck so do not hesitate to use any of them in your lineups. By choosing to use all mid-value players in your lineup, you can guarantee that you will score high. The downside of this strategy is that there is a slight chance a couple of these players won’t gain enough value. However, if all goes well, all 9 players should score at least 30 points for you which in turn will get you to the 300 mark, which is the bare minimum you should target if you really want to win big.
