The NHL Season continues on Thursday Night as Daily Fantasy Sports owners look to cash in on the ten game slate. At the front of the list sits a few top tier goalie options including Carey Price for the Montreal Canadians as well as Tuukka Rask for the Boston Bruins.
This might be most important position on the ice when building our daily fantasy simply based on the high volume of points these goalies deliver. For example, Price has delivered at least 32 fantasy points in five of his last six games. Than you have someone like Ryan Miller who has posted just three double digit performances over his last six games.
That being said we like a few fantasy options between the pipes tonight based on their matchup. One of those options is Petr Mrazek who would be a perfect fantasy sleeper option at the position. Mrazek is projected to be in the goal for the Detroit Red Wings against a Vancouver Canucks team is the only team in the NHL averaging under two goals a game.
Other goalies to consider include Pekka Rinne for the Nashville Predators and Sergei Bobrovsky for the Columbus Blue Jackets.
Here is the rest of our NHL FanDuel options for Thursday November 10th, 2016.
C – Steven Stamkos, Tampa Bay Lightning: Stamkos might have been the easiest of the options at the center position tonight. Tonight the Lightning center will look to take advantage of a New York Islanders team that ranks third in fantasy poits allowed to opposing centers.
C – Rickard Rakell, Anaheim Ducks: We could have gone a few directions at the second center position. In the end we elected to go with Rakell as the Ducks take on a Carolina Panthers team that is allowing 3.33 goals per contest this season. Rakell has three fantasy performances over 16 fantasy points over his last five games.
Other NHL Center Options we like: Tyler Seguin, Dallas Stars & Patrice Bergeron, Boston Bruins.
Fantasy Sleeper Center Option we like: Brad Richardson, Arizona Coyotes
W – Corey Perry, Anaheim Ducks: For us we couldn’t look past the Ducks tonight against a Carolina Hurricanes team that has had its struggles. This includes against opposing right wingers who have scored the second most fantasy points against only trailing the Arizona Coyotes.
W – Johnny Gaudreau, Calgary Flames: The Flames left winger is coming off a solid 11.2 point fantasy performance in the teams last contest. Tonight he will look to build on that against a Dallas Stars team that ranks first in the NHL in fantasy points allowed to the left winger position.

W – Patrik Laine, Winnipeg Jets: As we started to look at the winger position we knew we needed a few lost cost options to off set some of the more expensive options. That is when we landed with the Jets winger who will look to take advantage of an Arizona Coyotes team that ranks first in goals allowed in the NHL.
W – Shane Prince, New York Islanders: Now for us Prince is a perfect GPP option tonight to build our lineup around. The Islanders winger is a hit or miss option but has produced three performances over 24 fantasy points in the teams first eight games this season. If you are playing H2H or 50/50 style leagues we suggest looking in the $4,500 – $5,500k mark for the cheap winger option.
Other NHL Winger Options we like: Joe Pavelski, San Jose Sharks & Nikita Kucherov, Tampa Bay Lightning.
Fantasy Sleeper Winger Option we like: Jordan Martinook, Arizona Coyotes
D – Dennis Wideman, Calgary Flames: Now we are taking the approach that we are looking to cash in GPP format tournaments helping us lean to the cheaper options at the defenseman option. Wideman has a very favorable fantasy matchup against a Dallas Stars team allowing the second most fantasy points to opposing defenseman.
D – Alex Goligoski, Arizona Coyotes: Much like Wideman we turned to Goligoski based on his very favorable matchup against the Winnipeg Jets tonight. Entering tonight’s contest the Jets have allowed the eighth most goals in the NHL opening up a few of the Coyotes as solid fantasy options tonight.
Other NHL Defenseman Options we like: Dustin Byfuglien, Winnipeg Jets & Kris Letang, Pittsburgh Penguins.
Fantasy Sleeper Defenseman Option we like: Jack Johnson, Columbus Blue Jackets
G – Petr Mrazek, Detroit Red Wings: Mrazek is the projected starter for the Red Wings tonight making him a great option against a Canucks team that has struggled to put the puck in the net. He has been up and down this season but we like him tonight if he does get the nod. That being said you will need to save a few dollars just incase he does not get the start.
Other NHL Goalie Option we like: Pekka Rinne (Nashville Predators)
Fantasy NHL Goalie Option we like: Curtis McElhinney, Columbus Blue Jackets (GPP Option)
