In each contest participants are assigned a fixed salary cap of $50,000 that they can use to draft their 5-fighter lineup. The player pool consists of all fighters expected to participate in the upcoming event.

The qualifying rounds for the inaugural $100,000 FantasyAces Basketball Championship (FABC) have been hotly contested, as both events thus far remained undecided until the waning minutes. In the latest qualifier on December 19, Erik “Naapstermaan” Wardenburg rallied to take the lead with just two minutes remaining. Meanwhile, Theo “KaiBang” Tran won the first qualifier on December 12 when he made a run in the NBA late slate to claim a seat to the live event final on April 3-4, 2015, in Newport Beach, Calif.
The next FABC Qualifier takes place on Friday, January 2, and the winner will claim the third of just 13 total seats for the live event final.
The 13 FABC qualifiers will face off at the famed American Junkie Sports Bar for the one-day live event. When the dust settles, the winner will walk away with a $40,000 Grand Prize.
All finalists are guaranteed cash prizes as well as VIP treatment throughout, including a two-night stay at the luxurious Balboa Bay Resort and an unforgettable harbor cruise on a deluxe 100-foot motor yacht replete with full bar and appetizers.

Pennsylvanian John Lee (Tipandpick) won the $40,000 FAFC Grand Prize, outlasting a start-studded field in a back-and-forth contest that saw multiple lead changes throughout the day and was ultimately decided in the final quarter of the Sunday night NFL game.
“The live NFL final was a tremendous experience,” says Trent. “The competition was top notch and we had a great time getting to know the qualifiers over the two days. So, Bryan and I decided to run it again for the NBA season.”
