Zach Mettenberger, Justin Hunter look to form a dynamic bargain for DraftKings owners in week 12. Mettenberger has a great opportunity to build on his 17.52 performance against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday Night Football. The rookie quarterback out of LSU has one of the top fantasy plays of all the quarterbacks in week 12.
The Tennessee Titans travel to take on a Philadelphia Eagles defense that has allowed over 278 passing yards per game at home this season. Mettenbergers cost of $5,300 along with his teammate Justin Hunter at $3,800 allow fantasy owners a nice little stack at a cheap cost. The last option could also be Bishop Sankey for the Titans at just below the $5,000 mark at $4,900.
As far as some of the other top NFL games to look at for bargains for your DraftKings rosters start with the Baltimore Ravens and New Orleans Saints contest on Monday Night Football. Steve Smith Sr at $4,800 as well as both Marques Colston and Kenny Stills both at $4,200 all have big play opportunites this weekend.
Colston and Stills will see an increase in the workload with the rookie Brandin Cooks out for the remainder of the season. That comes for fantasy owners of those two receivers at a good time as the Ravens secondary is thin and showed a few weeks back if Drew Brees can extend plays that they can give up the touchdown pass. For Smith Sr this is a team he has had some success on in the past playing with the Carolina Panthers in the same NFC South.
Here are some of the other top DraftKings Bargains for week 12.
Terrance West, Cleveland Browns ($3,400): West and teammate Isaiah Crowell are both solid options in the bargain bin after the team released veteran Ben Tate. Crowell has had the bulk of the carries over the past few weeks but West’s ability to make the big play makes him a higher reward fantasy option.
Allen Hurns, Jacksonville Jaguars ($3,200): Hurns joins Cecil Shorts as the team’s starting receivers down the stretch with Allen Robinson out for the season. The Jaguars receiver has shown at times that he has the potential to be a big time fantasy producer including his 33.2 point performance in week 9.
Wes Welker, Denver Broncos ($4,200): The Broncos wide receiver could benefit big time in week 12 if receiver Emmanuel Sanders and Julius Thomas both are ruled out. Welker has yet to put together a big time fantasy performance this season.
Terrance Williams, Dallas Cowboys ($3,800): The Cowboys receiver found the end zone frequently in the early part of the season but has struggled of late. This week he has another shot at the New York Giants who he found the end zone against in week 7.
Other notable DraftKings Bargains for week 12: Brian Hoyer ($5,900), Garrett Graham ($3,300) and Riley Cooper ($3,700).
