Jonathan Stewart set to return in week 7 headlining top FanDuel bargains for week 7. Stewart hasn’t played since September 21st showed signs of coming alive rushing for 31 yards on five carries before leaving with a knee injury. The seventh year veteran out of Oregon would add a valuable option to the Carolina Panthers offense.
The Panthers would like to avoid having Cam Newton carry the ball more than the running back tandem combine. That exact thing happened last week as Newton rushed 17 times for 107 yards with one touchdown. Fozzy Whittaker was able to find the end zone on nine carries but is limited with a quadriceps injury.
This opens up the door for Stewart to be the main back for at least one week against the Green Bay Packers. This season the Packers have allowed a combined 947 yards and six touchdowns to opposing running backs. Those types of numbers and Stewarts very friendly $5,100 cost for the week has him as one of the top bargains on FanDuel for week 7.
Here are some of the other top bargain players for week 7 for FanDuel.
Justin Hunter, Tennessee Titans ($5,800): The Titans wide receiver has put together back to back games with at least three catches and at least 75 yards. This week the Titans receivers have an opportunity to make some big plays against the Washington Redskins. The Redskins have allowed 80 catches for 1,050 yards and seven touchdowns on the season to opposing receivers.
Marques Colston, New Orleans Saints ($5,500): Drew Brees and the Saints could look to involve Colston more into the offense with Jimmy Graham expected to be out of the lineup. Despite only having one double digit fantasy point performance this season we expect the Saints offense to get it going this weekend despite the difficult matchup against the Detroit Lions.
Michael Campanaro, Baltimore Ravens ($5,000): The Ravens rookie out of Wake Forest pulled in two catches for 28 yards on Sunday. This could open the door up as Marlon Brown and Kamar Aiken are dealing with injuries while Jacoby Jones has struggled to hold onto the ball. This week the Ravens take on a Falcons defense that has allowed six touchdown receptions and nearly 1,100 yards.
Brandon Pettigrew, Detroit Lions ($4,600): Pettigrew fits the mold we like at the tight end position mainly with his below 5k salary. On paper this game looks like it could be a defensive played game but looking at the trends around the NFL that makes this game one to watch. Pettigrew health is also a plus as the team’s other option Eric Ebron has been limited this week.
James Jones, Oakland Raiders ($5,500): Jones stock is rising after Derek Carr’s big four touchdown game against a pretty solid San Diego Chargers defense. If Carr can continue to find the end zone each week Jones will be a great pick at wide receiver. The Raiders receiver has four games this season with double digit fantasy points.
Other notable options: Isaih Crowell ($5,300), Malcom Floyd ($5,800) and Brandon Tate ($5,900).
