The weekend has arrived as we look to build a few winning lineups to cash in on FanDuel. The first day we will take a look at is tonight as all 30 Major League Baseball teams are in action from the East Coast to the West Coast. This features a few interesting matchups including a battle to take home the bragging rights in Los Angeles.

The Dodgers welcome the Angels to town for an in town battle that features Clayton Kershaw taking the mound on Friday Night. For Kershaw he will have his hands full with this Angels line up that features both Albert Pujols and Mike Trout. These two stars are the only players in Major League Baseball with at least 30 home runs. They have combined to hit 61 home runs while helping the Angels back into contention.

While Kershaw looks good based on his past fantasy success the question we asked ourselves is he really worth the $13,300 price tag? This turned us looking at a few of the other top starters taking the hill tonight including Madison Bumgarner for the San Francisco Giants against the Texas Rangers, Johnny Cueto against the Toronto Blue Jays and Matt Harvey against the Washington Nationals.

None of these honestly stand out as solid fantasy options so started looking at a few of the other options that might be available. One option that we like is Gio Gonzalez for the Nationals against the New York Mets. Gonzalez has yielded double digit fantasy numbers in five straight games for FanDuel owners including a 12 point performance against the Mets in two starts ago.

A sleeper we are also looking at is Williams Perez for the Atlanta Braves against the Philadelphia Phillies. Despite being hot since the All-Star break the Phillies still rank at the bottom of nearly every offensive category.

Here is our MLB FanDuel lineup for Friday July 31^st, 2015.

P – Gio Gonzalez ($9,600): The Nationals starter is a solid fantasy option tonight against the New York Mets. The Mets have struggled for most of 2015 on the offensive side of the bat as they look to acquire a bat before the trade deadline today.

C – Jonathan Lucroy ($2,900): Lucroy is a solid option at catcher for FanDuel owners tonight. We recommend monitoring the trade deadline to ensure the Brewers don’t move him some thing we don’t expect. Lucroy has four straight games with at least 3.25 fantasy points.

First Base – Adam LaRoche ($2,200): While we have a ton of options tonight we looked for a deep fantasy sleeper who could surprise many. That could be LaRoche as he will be hitting in Yankee stadium which is friendly to left handed hitter. You could go a little more expensive as we like Chris Davis as well as Jose Abreu tonight.

Second Base – Brandon Phillips ($2,400): Phillips had a monster night on Thursday against the Pittsburgh Pirates. We are looking to ride his two home run performance tonight to provide us with some salary cap relief.

Third Base – Todd Frazier ($3,700): The Cincinnati Reds third baseman got the night off on Thursday. This opens him up for a chance to put up some big numbers tonight against Jeff Locke who he has nine career hits off including two home runs.

Short Stop – Jimmy Rollins ($2,800): Rollins has been some what hot of late for the Dodgers picking up at least two hits in three of his last six games. In that stretch, Rollins has recorded four games with least 5.25 fantasy points.

Outfielder – Aaron Hicks ($3,100): The Minnesota Twins outfielder is another player swinging a hot bat around Major League Baseball. Hicks is riding five straight multi-hit games including three in each of his last two games.

Outfielder – Adam Jones ($2,900): Lets continue to ride Adam Jones after having in our fantasy lineup last night. Jones produced picking up 10.5 fantasy points while hitting his 16 home run of the season. The Baltimore Orioles outfielder has been a streaky player over the course of his career add in his $2,900 salary makes him a great start.

Outfielder – Bryce Harper ($5,000): The salary is there to go with Mike Trout but we elected to go with Harper against Matt Harvey. Now that being said some other options we like include Yoenis Cespedes, Adam Eaton and Dexter Fowler.
