The action is limited around Major League Baseball on Thursday Night but that won’t limit us on FanDuel. In all only six games are taking place around Major League Baseball providing us with a very limited pitching pool to build from. Overall the pitching available is less than stellar but does feature a few starters who could shine tonight.
One of those starters is Baltimore Orioles starter Chris Tillman who is considered the team’s ace but seems not to have found his stuff early on. The Orioles starter is coming off a solid 11 point fantasy performance in his last outing despite only striking out three hitters. Another key reason that Tillman could be a great option has been the Boston Red Sox hitting as they have produced just two runs over the first two games of this series.
The other starter who might be considered the best option tonight and that is Garrett Richards for the Los Angeles Angels. Richards is coming off his worst fantasy outing of the season in his last start against the New York Yankees but he won’t be facing them tonight. He will be facing a Tampa Bay Rays team that is in the bottom of the league in runs scored and he just posted 11 points against them on June 1st.
Here is our complete FanDuel Lineup for Thursday June 11th, 2015. As always monitor the lineups as well as the potential for messy weather.
P – Tanner Roark ($5,800): While the top two are strong candidates as well we decided to go with one of the cheapest options available tonight facing off against a team that ranks in the bottom in runs scored. The Washington Nationals starter will be facing off against a Milwaukee Brewers team that has scored only 218 runs and ranks as the 27th worst team in Major League Baseball.
C – Buster Posey ($3,700): As we look at which players have had some success against the starters they are facing tonight we landed with the San Francisco Giants catcher. In his career Posey is seven for 19 off of Jonathon Niese with one home run and two runs batted in. The New York Mets starter has struggled at times this season.
First Base – Chris Davis ($3,000): The Orioles first baseman is hitting the ball but the ball is staying in the ball park. That being said the temperature is expected to be in the 90’s for most of the day in Baltimore so we expect the ball to be flying tonight at Camden Yards.
Second Base – Addison Russell ($2,400): We love this young lineup the Chicago Cubs can put out on the field on almost any night of the week. Russell provides us a nice cheap option at second base but still gives us someone who can produce at a high level.
Third Base – Manny Machado ($3,200): Machado has been swinging a hot bat of late hitting in four straight game for the Orioles. In that stretch, the Orioles third baseman has posted three multi-hit games.
Short Stop – Starlin Castro ($2,700): The Cubs short stop is riding a four game hitting streak entering Thursdays contest. That being said we could move our lineup around to go with Troy Tulowitzki if you elect to go cheaper in the outfield.
Outfield – Adam Jones ($3,300): Jones has been swinging the bat of late much like he did in the month of April. Over his last 10 games, Jones has four games with over four fantasy points including three with more than seven.
Outfield – Bryce Harper ($5,600): We never need a reason to put the Nationals outfielder in our lineup and that is our excuse tonight. Harper is second in all of baseball with 20 home runs while sitting in fifth in batting average and third in runs batted in for the National League.
Outfield – Giancarlo Stanton ($5,300): The Miami Marlins outfielder has been hot over his last three games going six for 11 with two doubles, three home runs, four runs batted in and four runs scored. Figured tonight would be a good night to stack him with Harper with both guys having the ability to put up big fantasy numbers.
