The Major League Baseball action is in full swing on Tuesday Night as all 30 teams are in action for FanDuel owners to cash in on. This comes just one day after a limited selection of games taking place on the diamond limiting the number of top tier starters taking the mound.
That won’t be the case on Tuesday as the the Major League co-leader in wins Jake Arrieta takes the mound for the Chicago Cubs against the San Francisco Giants. . Meanwhile the American League leader in wins Dallas Keuchel is on the mound for the Houston Astros verse the New York Yankees.
Other solid starting pitching options include Noah Syndergaard for the New York Mets, Stephen Strasburg, James Shields and Jaime Garcia. At the plate the options are endless including big name stars like Mike Trout and Miguel Cabrera. For us though we elected to take a look at a few of the hottest players around the Majors over the past seven games.
That being said here are our MLB FanDuel top options for Tuesday August 25th, 2015.
Starting Pitcher – Miguel Gonzalez ($6,900): While we love all the top options we elected to go with a starter that has dominated against the team he will be facing on Tuesday. That guy is Baltimore Orioles starter Miguel Gonzalez against a Kansas City Royals team hitting just .212 against him in 80 total at bats.
Option 2 – Jake Arrieta ($11,200) & Option 3 – Stephen Strasburg ($10,000)
Catcher – John Jaso ($2,200): We could have gone a few different directions after going with a cheap option on the mound. That being said we elected to go with the Tampa Bays Rays catcher. Our one suggestion is to monitor the lineup to ensure he is in the lineup. Jaso is eight for 21 against Ervin Santana with one home run and six runs batted in.
Option 2 – Miguel Montero ($2,800) & Option 3 – Welington Castillo ($3,500)
First Base – Miguel Cabrera ($5,300): After electing to go with a cheap option on the mound and at catcher it opened up for us to spend on a few additional players. Cabrera is eight for 26 against Jered Weaver with five extra base hits and five runs batted in.
Option 2 – Edwin Encarnacion ($5,200) & Option 3 – Joey Votto ($4,400)
Second Base – Ian Kinsler ($4,100): Looking at the top power option for Tuesday at second base is the Tigers second baseman. Kinsler has three home runs and eight extra base hits against Jered Weaver.
Option 2 – Robinson Cano ($3,700) & Option 3 – Jose Altuve ($4,000)
Third Base – Evan Longoria ($2,600): Longoria is another solid cheap option for Tuesday Night. The Rays third base man is six for 15 with two home runs in his career against Santana.
Option 2 – Josh Donaldson ($6,200) & Option 3 – Manny Machado ($3,700)
Short Stop – Eugenio Suarez ($2,700): The Cincinnati Reds short stop has picked up at least two hits in his three of his last four games. We looked at a few options here including going with Jung-ho Kang and Francisco Lindor.
Option 2 – Jung-ho Kang ($3,700) & Option 3 – Franicsco Lindor ($3,100)
Outfielder – Stephen Piscotty ($3,300): Another solid option that may go under the radar is the St. Louis Cardinals outfielder. Piscotty has four home runs and eight runs driven in over his last seven games.
Outfielder – Mark Canha ($3,000): We tossed and turned on going with Justin Upton then a little cheaper than Pollock. In the end we went with Canha who is hitting .464 over his last seven games with two home runs and eight runs batted in.
Outfielder – A.J. Pollock ($4,900): The Arizona Diamondbacks outfielders has been hot as well hitting .485 over his last seven games with one home run, four runs batted in and five stolen bases.
Option 4 – Justin Upton ($4,000), Option 5 – Hanley Ramirez ($3,100) & Option 6 – Adam Jones ($3,600)
