The 2014-15 NBA season is winding down but the action is just heating up on FanDuel. Following a Monday that only featured one game-taking place around the NBA, the league has a six game lineup for fantasy owners to cash in on.
Tonight’s lineup of games feature a few potential high scoring contests that should yield some nice fantasy numbers. The first matchup to look at is the Phoenix Suns heading to take on the Atlanta Hawks. These two teams both sit in the top half of the NBA in pace of play opening up a over/under score of 204 combined points.
The next game to build from is the San Antonio Spurs heading to Oklahoma City to take on the Thunder. While we avoided this matchup we are concerned this would be one of those Greg Popovich games where he rests his entire starting roster. If we posted this lineup right before game time it could see some potential changes.
This contest has the largest over/under of the night at 216 combined points making it a great fantasy play. We looked at Russell Westbrook but his last contest against the Spurs was solid but nothing to warrant his high salary. The move to go with Chris Paul saved us some cash to splurge on DeMarcus Cousins.
Here is our NBA FanDuel Lineup for Tuesday April 7th, 2015.
PG – Chris Paul ($11,000): Paul has the potential to drop over 30 fantasy points on any night with a high side of 50 plus. Tonight he gets a rematch against the same Los Angeles Lakers team he finished with 37.3 fantasy points.
PG – Zach LaVine ($5,700): We considered starting both point guards from tonight’s Minnesota Timberwolves verse Sacramento Kings matchup. That being said we love LaVine’s upside against a Timberwolves team that is allowing the fifth most fantasy points to opposing point guards this season.
SG – Ben McLemore ($4,300):McLemore is coming off a solid three game stretch resulting in a 37 point fantasy performance in his last outing. Tonight he has a great matchup against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
SG – Eric Gordon ($5,200): The New Orleans Pelicans shooting guard is a great bang for the buck type of player tonight. Over his last four games, Gordon has finished with at least 24 fantasy points in three of those contests.
SF – P.J. Tucker ($5,300): The Atlanta Hawks have struggled over the past three weeks to limit the fantasy points to opposing small forwards. Add in the fact that the Suns like to move the ball up and down the court led us to taking a risk on Tucker tonight.
SF – DeMarre Carroll ($5,900): Looking at the shooting guards for this price range we thought Carroll was a great option. If you look back at his last nine games played he has dropped at least 30 fantasy points in five of those with three additional games over 20 fantasy points.
PF – Tarik Black ($4,300): The Lakers power forward is our FanDuel Bargain of the night against the Clippers. These two teams met up in their last contest with Black finishing with 25.3 fantasy points. The 20 plus performance was his third straight and sixth in eight games.
PF – Marvin Williams ($5,000): Williams has been brilliant of late for his fantasy owners posting over 20 fantasy points in six straight contests. That includes to 31 plus fantasy performances. Look for Williams success to continue tonight against the Miami Heat.
C – DeMarcus Cousins ($12,300): It was a toss up tonight for us either Cousins or Anthony Davis. Both have favorable matchups but we elected to go with the Kings center against the Timberwolves tonight with the second highest over/under score of the night.
