Seth Russell, Corey Coleman headline the top fantasy plays for the NCAA football action on Saturday. This pair of team mates will look to lead their Baylor Bears to another impressive win on Saturday against the Iowa State Cyclones. Entering this contest this game features one of the highest over/under scoring lines of all the contests this weekend.
Last weekend these two rewarded fantasy owners as Russell finished the game with five passing touchdowns, 380 yards passing, 160 rushing yards and a rushing touchdown in route to a 57.2 point fantasy performance. Coleman was nearly as good finishing with 10 catches for 199 yards to go with three touchdown receptions while finishing with 42.9 fantasy points.
For us we love the idea of using both of these guys again this week the down side is the two players combine to take up $20,400 of the possible $45,000 open salary to build our fantasy team. Now that being said we are still going to use them this week in a contest that could see the Bears put up 70/80 points on the scoreboard.
Now if you decide you want a little bit of a cheaper option at the quarterback position you could go with a fantasy sleeper option in Phillip Ely of Toledo. Ely and the Rockets take on UMass in a contest that currently sits with an over/under line of 62 points.
Here is our NCAA FanDuel lineup for this weekend as well as a few solid fantasy plays for you to consider.
Quarterback – Seth Russell ($10,800): Till we see Russell and the Bears offense slow down we will keep using them in our weekly fantasy lineups. Another solid fantasy quarterback option is Baker Mayfield for Texas Tech going up against Oklahoma a move tat would save you some salary cap space.
Other top NCAA FanDuel Quarterback options for this weekend include Baker Mayfield, Phillip Ely and Connor Cook.
Running Back – Brandon Ross ($4,800): The Maryland Terps running back is a tricky play this weekend but we expect interim head coach Mike Locksley to get creative against Penn State. Ross showed a few weeks back he has the ability to put together a big game on the ground.
Running Back – Saquon Barkley ($7,300): Barkley is a solid fantasy option this weekend against the Maryland Terps. The Penn State running back has posted at least 14.9 fantasy points in all four of his last games while topping the 100 yard mark in three of those games.
Other top NCAA FanDuel Running Back options for this weekend include Shock Linwood, Joe Mixon and Chris Carson.
Wide Receiver – Corey Coleman ($9,600): Along with Russell this was our easiest fantasy play of the day for Saturday for the NCAA action. Now that being said Coleman has touchdowns in all five of the Bears games including three of those games with three touchdowns.
Wide Receiver – Jauan Wesley ($4,500): Wesley is our FanDuel Sleeper of the week going up against the Bears in what looks to be a high scoring contest. We expect this game to get out of hand allowing the Cyclones to make some plays late helping theif fantasy numbers.
Wide Receiver – Cody Thompson ($5,300): The Rockets wide receiver is coming off back to back games with double digit fantasy performances as well as three of his last four games. Thompson is another value play to help open up some additional salary cap space.
Other top NCAA FanDuel Wide Receiver options for this weekend include Demarcus Ayers, R.J. Shelton, D’erren Wilson, Ricky Jones and Tajae Sharpe.
Tight End – Dan Vitale ($2,600): The tight end position in college football is nothing like the NFL. That being said Vitale has the abilities to produce as we saw back in September as he grabbed five passes for 108 yard and two touchdowns back in September.
Other top NCAA FanDuel Tight End options for the weekend include Rodney Mills, LaQuan McGowan and Avery Edwards.
