Eli Manning and company are primed for a big time fantasy performance on Sunday. Manning leads his New York Giants into Philadelphia for a week 6 showdown with the Eagles. This is the same Eagles team that has allowed the fifth most passing yards in the NFL.
The Giants quarterback is just one of a few players from this game you might consider playing this week including Andre Williams, Rueben Randle and Odell Beckham. Victor Cruz is another great play but might come at a costly price in FanDuel and DraftKing leagues. On the other side of the ball Nick Foles, Jeremy Maclin and Jordan Mathews all make sense.
When you look at the two defenses they both allow over 22 points a game and at least 265 yards passing. The main difference comes in their rush defense as the Giants rank 10th in rushing yards allowed per game compared to a Eagles defense allowing the eight most rushing yards per game at 132.
Now not all the fantasy studs from week 6 will come from this NFC East showdown as Eli’s brother Manning has a great fantasy matchup against the New York Jets. Here are the rest of the key fantasy plays for week 6.
Pierre Garcon, Washington Redskins: The Redskins have looked bad at times on both sides of the ball but this could be a great week for the team’s receivers to show up. The team takes on a Arizona Cardinals team that is allowing the second most fantasy points to opposing wide receivers.
Torrey Smith, Baltimore Ravens: This might not be the Smith you thought would show up on this list but we like his big play ability. This weekend the Ravens travel to take on a Buccaneers team that has allowed nearly 900 yards receiving and six touchdown receptions. The added benefit of using Smith on 24/7 Drafts and DraftKings is his cost allowing you to spread more money around.
Matt Forte, Chicago Bears: Forte might be the NFL’s top running back this year delivering for fantasy owners in both the rushing and receiving game. This weekend he gets his shot at a Atlanta Falcons defense that has allowed a league high nine rushing touchdowns.
Branden Oliver, San Diego Chargers: Oliver might not be the hidden gem that many hit on last week but he should be a very consistent play this weekend. The rookie out of Buffalo piled up 182 combined yards along with two touchdowns in his first start. This weekend the Chargers take on an Oakland Raiders team that has struggled on both sides of the ball.
Peyton Manning, Denver Broncos: Manning is the next quarterback up to get his shot at a Jets defense that can’t slow down opposing quarterbacks. The extra value comes with his opportunity to at least tie Brett Favre’s record of 508 touchdowns which he needs only five more to tie. If the Jets don’t make some plays early this could be a feat that could be accomplished this weekend.
Notable fantasy plays for week 6: Joe Flacco (Baltimore Ravens), Austin Seferian-Jenkins (Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Colin Kaepernick (San Francisco 49ers).
