Strategies
The daily fantasy action is heating up tonight on FanDuel as we look to cash in on the big four on the mound. At the top of that list is San Francisco Giants ace Madison Bumgarner who will look to lead his team to a win at home at AT&T Park tonight against the Milwaukee Brewers.
For Bumgarner he has been as consistent as any MLB starter for his fantasy owners this season. That includes over his last ten games where he has turned in no less than 30 fantasy points in each of his last ten starts while topping the 50 point mark in six of those outings.
Meanwhile the other three top options on the mound on Tuesday June 14th include David Price for the Boston Red Sox, John Lackey for the Chicago Cubs and Jacob deGrom for the New York Mets. Following them you have guys like Jordan Zimmerman and Gio Gonzalez who could also turn in a good fantasy outing tonight.
Of the other big four tonight we don’t like Price’s matchup against a power hitting team like the Baltimore Orioles. While he has been very good of late it only takes a few popups from Mark Trumbo, Chris Davis and Manny Machado to turn his outing into a bad night. Lackey on the other hand will take the mound against the Washington Nationals in DC while deGrom looks to protect home field against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
In the end Tuesday Night is one of those nights you will want to look to build your FanDuel lineup around one of the top tier starters unless you are looking to cash in on a tournament.
FanDuel Hitters We Like On Tuesday Night
Salvador Perez, Kansas City Royals: The Royals catcher has been heating up over his last five games picking up at least one hit in each contest. That includes posting two hits in three of those contests and three hits in the game last night against the Cleveland Indians. Tonight he will look to continue that success against Josh Tomlin for the Indians who he has 13 career hits against in just 20 at bats including seven of them going for extra base hits.
Carlos Gonzalez, Colorado Rockies: When the Rockies are at hot we have to look at Gonzo as well as a few members of his team to build our lineup around. For us Gonzalez is hitting .310 at home for the season with eight doubles, one triple, nine home runs and 22 runs batted in. Gonzalez has been red hot of late at Coors Field as well picking up home runs in six of his last ten games at home.
Pitchers We Like On Thursday Night
Madison Bumgarner, San Francisco Giants: It is hard to pass up Bumgarner when he takes the mound. Add in the fact he has dominated at home at AT&T Park pitching to a 1.71 earned run average in seven starts while picking up three wins makes him an easy option to build our daily fantasy lineup around. Now the tricky part is building around his big time salary for daily fantasy owners looking to cash in on 50/50’s and head to head matchups.
Brandon Finnegan, Cincinnati Reds: Now we love the idea behind building a winning lineup around the top starters but for tournament style leagues we need to save as much money on the pitcher while finding a potential fantasy sleeper who will reward us with a solid outing. That option could be Finnegan tonight against the Atlanta Braves as he has been solid over his last two outings posting 34 and 36 fantasy points.
The Stack List:
Nick Hundley/Carlos Gonzalez/DJ LeMahieu, Colorado Rockies: For us we could have gone with nearly any of the starters for the Rockies tonight at Coors Field. For us we can’t pass up Gonzo as he has been hot at home while LeMahieu has picked up of late hitting in seven straight gams including back to back nights with at least two. Hundley is the odd ball option but we like his salary cap number while hitting in one of the best hitters ball parks in the game.
Carlos Beltran/Didi Gregorius/Rob Refsynder, New York Yankees: Much like stacking the Rockies at Coors Field we feel the same about the Yankees tonight as well despite their struggles against Jorge De La Rosa. For us we like Refsynder as more of a fantasy sleeper type option while Beltran and Gregorius can be safe plays in nearly any lineup. We also like Brett Gardner and Alex Rodriguez as well in this matchup.
