MLB Friday Fantasy Baseball Line Up for Fanduel

The weekend has finally arrived during a short week for many as we all have a full weekend slate of action on FanDuel. This includes a almost full slate of games outside of one game being played during the day. That gives us a ton of options around the diamond to build from tonight on FanDuel.

After a solid lineup yesterday that should have produced some solid production for everyone between 51 fantasy points and 54 depending on whether you stuck with the red hot Brian McCann or went with Chris Iannetta. Now we will start to look at how we want to build our lineup tonight.

We elected to build our lineup around the offense then fit in a pitcher that we also felt could produce. Starting with the top hitter in the American League Prince Fielder taking up our first base spot. Fielder is currently hitting .361 with 10 home runs and 38 runs batted in for the Rangers. We also expect to see some added protection in the lineup if Josh Hamilton can start to produce for the Rangers.

The move to spend on the lineup allowed us to go with a little bit of sleeper on the mound. While we expect many to hop on Matt Harvey as well as someone like Stephen Strasburg. We elected to go with Miguel Gonzalez for the Baltimore Orioles tonight against the Tampa Bay Rays. Yes you read that correctly Miguel Gonzalez for the Baltimore Orioles.

Here is our complete MLB FanDuel lineup for Friday May 29th, 2015.

P – Miguel Gonzalez ($7,400): This will be Gonzalez third start of the season against the Rays. In his first two outings, the Orioles starter went 13.1 innings allowing just one earned run while striking out 11 Rays hitters. In his career All-Time he is 5-4 against the Rays with a 3.42 earned run average in 13 career starts the most against any one opponent.

C – Kurt Suzuki ($2,300): As we always do with our catchers we recommend monitoring the updated lineups as they are released prior to the start of tonights contest. That being said Suzuki has hit Mark Buehrle well in his career going 11 for 28 with three extra base hits including a home run and six runs batted in. One option is to go with Cameron Maybin in place of Ryan Braun and then replace Suzuki with either Stephen Vogt or Russell Martin.

First Base – Prince Fielder ($4,500): After going with Albert Pujols yesterday we elected to go with the Rangers first baseman tonight. Fielder is one of the hottest hitters in the game and the Rangers play at home at the Ball Park at Arlington.

Second Base – Dustin Pedroia ($3,200): The Boston Red Sox second baseman can give you a big fantasy game any night of the week. Entering tonights contest, Pedroia is riding a eight game hitting streak that includes four multi hit games with one of those coming yesterday in Texas.

Third Base – Matt Carpenter ($3,900): We might kick ourselves from staying away from Josh Donaldson but he was one of our options. We just felt like he is red hot with three straight games with a home run and he could cool off. Carpenter has produced six straight games with at least 1.25 fantasy points but has the potential to post double figures.

Short Stop – J.J. Hardy ($2,200): Since we went with Hardy as our FanDuel bargain bin player of the night it frees up a ton of cap space to spend on other players. Hardy has been somewhat cool since returning from the disabled list but he has been one of the better hitting shortstops around Major League Baseball over the past five seasons.

Outfielder – Yoenis Cespedes ($3,400): We elected to ride track records with the Detroit Tigers outfeidler tonight. Cespedes is hitting .364 for his career with two home runs off of Hector Santiago of the Los Angeles Angels.

Outfielder – Tori Hunter ($3,400): Much like Cespedes we elected to ride Hunter’s career success against the Blue Jays starter Buerhle. Hunter has three career home runs with 15 runs batted in and nine total extra base hits All-Time against Buerhle.

Outfielder – Ryan Braun ($4,400): Not sure if anyone is noticing but the Milwaukee Brewers outfielder is putting together a solid season together with 12 home runs and 37 runs batted in. Braun has four games with over seven fantasy points in his last 10 games.

Line up is sure to ‘hit’ it out of the park: (Friday May 29 2015):
