The action heats up on FanDuel tonight as the NBA is loaded 28 teams in action to get the second half of the season started. While we all had a chance to get back into the swing of it last night on FanDuel as the NBA returned from their week long All-Star break with a three game slate.
After having limited fantasy options last night we have a full list of options at all five spots. At the top of those options are the top tier fantasy options including Stephen Curry, Russell Westbrook, James Harden, DeMarcus Cousins, Kevin Durant, John Wall and Anthony Davis.
Six of those seven options carry a price tag over the $10k mark while Davis sits just under the mark. The one question we constantly ask ourselves is should we build our lineup around two of these higher priced options or should we just go with one giving us some flexibility in fill the other slots.
Leading up to the All-Star break we took a look back at a few nights where the action were filled. The results on FanDuel were nearly the same as majority of those winning lineups carried two of the top fantasy scorers taking the floor while nearly 80% of the top 10 scoring teams also carried two.

Those numbers alone makes it almost a need to carry two of these options tonight. That leaves us to look at a few FanDuel Bargains to help us offset the high salary cap numbers that two players take up. One of those options is point guard Patrick Mills for the San Antonio Spurs as they take on the Los Angeles Lakers.
This will be the Spurs second straight game opening up the door for Greg Popovich to rest Tony Parker a bit turning up the minutes for Mills. Add in the fact that the Lakers rank number one in fantasy points allowed to opposing point guards makes him an interesting option. The second option we like is P.J. Tucker who was not traded but should see a more involved role after the team traded away Marcus Morris yesterday.
Here is our NBA FanDuel Lineup for Friday February 19th, 2016.
PG – Stephen Curry ($10,800): We could have easily gone with Westbrook at this slot or even stacked the two at both point guard slots. In the end Curry was on a tear before the All-Star Break posting at least 50 fantasy points in four straight contests as well as seven of his last ten games.
PG – Patrick Mills ($4,400): Mills is a solid fantasy option solely based on the fact this is the Spurs second straight game. Now we suggest monitoring the lineup situation as the day goes on as Tony Parker could be a solid option as well at just $5k if you fill safer to go with him.
SG – James Harden ($10,800): While the Houston Rockets season is not going their way, Harden continues to be one thing going right. Harden has scored fewer than 30 fantasy points in just one contest over his past ten games while posting at least 57 fantasy points in five of those contests.
SG – Nik Stauskas ($3,600): Stauskas is a deep fantasy sleeper option tonight but we needed a relief to our salary cap number. The Philadelphia 76ers shooting guard is more of a tournament style play as he has shown the ability to post over 20 fantasy points.
SF – P.J. Tucker ($4,800): The Phoenix Suns veteran will be leaned on more now that the team traded away Morris. In the end it is hard to not take a shot with Tucker who has played at least 31 minutes in ten straight games for the Suns while postin at least 23 fantasy points in seven of those games.
SF – Jae Crowder ($6,000): Crowder is another solid fantasy option in the $6k range as he posted back to back 37 point fantasy nights. The Boston Celtics style of play opens up the door for a variety of fantasy options when they take to the floor.
PF – Aaron Gordon ($5,900): The Orlando Magic opened up the door for Gordon to see an increased role down the stretch trading away Tobias Harris before the trade deadline. That being said Gordon was on a role posting at least 30 fantasy points in three straight contests before the All-Star break.
PF – Jerami Grant ($5,100): Looking strictly at how players were playing before the break landed us with the 76ers power forward. While we could have went into the mid $6k range for this spot it would have limited us to a center at nearly the same price point.
C – Dwight Howard ($8,100): Now that Howard is staying put in Houston we expect him to put together a big game tonight against the Suns. The Suns like to move the ball but have struggled to score points opening up the rebound opportunities for Howard. Howard had posted two 40 plus fantasy games over the teams last three contests before the break.
