Strategies
The NBA action continues to heat up as FanDuel owners look to cash in tonight to start their weekend. In all ten NBA games will be taking the hardwood tonight across the country including the Golden State Warriors welcoming the Denver Nuggets to the Oracle Arena.
Now despite having nine other games to build from this is the first game we elected to start with. Currently the game is slated for a 213 point over/under with the Warriors as a 18 point favorite. Add in the fact they have one of the top scorers in the NBA putting together the best start to his career in Stephen Curry.
That being said we expect Curry to be used in a high percentage of FanDuel leagues tonight, which could play to your benefit or against you. For us we are sticking with the Warriors sharp shooter but if we elected to go with another option at point guard could reward us.
Curry is just one of a few guys we really like in this Western Conference showdown tonight. Curry’s teammate Klay Thompson is another great option with some fantasy owners electing to stack the two tonight. We also like Festus Ezeli as a FanDuel Sleeper tonight as Andrew Bogut continues to miss action.
On the other side of the court you could look at Kenneth Faried, Will Barton and Emmanuel Mudiay. Other top fantasy matchups based on what the Vegas over/under lines include the Washington Wizards/Boston Celtics (209.5), Los Angeles Lakers/Brooklyn Nets (206.5) and the Atlanta Hawks/New Orleans Pelicans (204).
Here is our NBA FanDuel Lineup for Friday November 6th, 2015.
PG – Stephen Curry ($10,900): Despite his high salary as well as the likelihood that he will be used in a high percentage of games we could not pass on him tonight. Curry has dropped over 30 points in four of his first five games of the season while scoring no less than 43 fantasy points in five games this season. If you want to stack a few cheap options you could consider Jerryd Bayless and T.J. McConnell.
PG – Jerryd Bayless ($3,500): How can you not take the high risk, high reward option tonight against the New York Knicks. Bayless should be the starting point guard tonight as Michael Carter-Williams is listed as a game time decision with some websites reporting doubtful. Monitor this situation but stick with Bayless if Carter-Williams misses the game.
SG – Kentavious Caldwell-Pope ($5,000): Pope has a great matchup tonight going against the Phoenis Suns. While Caldwell-Pope has yet to hit the 30 point fantasy mark this season he has yet to play less than 36 minutes in any game this year. It is only a matter of time before we see a big game out of him.
SG – Avery Bradley ($5,800): While we stayed away from the Washington Wizards in this contest we could have went with Bradley Beal as well. In the end Bradley is coming into tonight’s game scoring at least 25.5 fantasy points for his fantasy owners. Now despite going with two cheap options we also considered going with James Harden as well.
SF – DeMarre Carroll ($6,000): The Toronto Raptors small forward continues to see the floor at a high level over his first five games. Carroll has finished with at least 28 fantasy points in three of those contests.
SF – LeBron James ($10,100): James gets another chance to dominate the Philadelphia 76ers. The Cleveland Cavaliers star lit up the 76ers for 22 points, nine rebounds, 11 assists, two blocked shots and four steals just a few nights ago.
PF – J.J. Hickson ($3,900): We are loading our FanDuel Lineup with Fantasy Sleepers tonight in hopes of bringing home a big prize. Hickson should see continue to see 25-3 minutes a night with Joffrey Lauvergne.
PF – Anthony Davis ($10,600): In the end we elected to go with Davis over James Harden tonight. While Davis has not been as good as he was early on last year he has been good enough to start night in and night out on FanDuel. Entering tonight, Davis has put together three straight games with at least 36 fantasy points.
C – Festus Ezeli ($3,800): Now before deciding to go with the Warriors center in this matchup we tossed around guys like Andre Drummond, Brook Lopez as well as another fantasy sleeper in Dewayne Dedmon. All three are viable options but with the high scoring contest we expect a ton of opportunities for Ezeli to not only score but also for rebounding opportunities.
