The first few days of the 2016-17 NBA Season is in the books as the opening weekend has arrived. Now before we start to preview the action on Friday October 28^th, 2016 we decided to take a look at some of the early NBA action including a few top FanDuel Performers.

One of those top performers was Anthony Davis on Wednesday Night as the New Orleans Pelicans big man went off. Davis finished the night with 50 points to go along with 16 rebounds, five assists, four blocks and seven steals while posting 95.7 fantasy points.

Along with Davis we also saw a few of the NBA other top stars drop big time fantasy performances. The group includes six other NBA stars that posted at least 50 fantasy points including James Harden, Myles Turner, Draymond Green, Russell Westbrook, Kevin Durant and Lebon James.

Now that being said we have turned our attention to the eight game NBA slate taking to the hardwood on Friday Night.  For us the one game that is at the front of the action features the Houston Rockets heading to Dallas to take on the Mavericks. We expect this contest to be one of the highest scoring contests of the night with an over/under line at 221.5.

Here is who we like on Friday October 28^th, 2016 to build our NBA FanDuel around.

PG – Kyrie Irving, Cleveland Cavaliers: When we looked at the point guard position we love Russell Westbrook as the top fantasy option but we looked to Irving as cheaper option. Irving will continue to put up big numbers night in and night out as opposing teams will have a difficult time shutting down the Cavaliers big three.

PG – Tyler Johnson, Miami Heat: Now Johnson might be that one deep fantasy sleeper that could put us all over the top on Friday Night. The backup Heat guard registered 28 minutes in the teams opening game and should be a solid fantasy option as long as Josh Richardson is not in the lineup.

Other NBA PG FanDuel Options for Friday October 28^th include Russell Westbrook, Deron Williams and Kemba Walker.

SG – Dion Waiters, Miami Heat: For us the shooting guard slot is one of those positions you could save a few dollars on and one of those options is Waiters. The Heat’s shooting guard played 34 minutes in the teams opening game posting nine points, six rebounds and four assists. As long as Waiters continues to get at least 30 minutes per game he is a must use fantasy option.

SG – James Harden, Houston Rockets: By now we all know that Harden is one of the top scorers in the NBA. Now the Rockets will lean on him to run the point position opening up an additional fantasy production with assists. While he does carry a heavy price tag he is a must use candidate in a game that could see both teams top the 120 mark.

Other NBA SG FanDuel Options for Friday October 28^th include Eric Gordon, Jordan Clarkson and Monta Ellis.

SF – Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, Charlotte Hornets: Kidd-Gilchrist might have not lived up to the hype that surrounded him after being drafted. That being said the Hornets small forward has the potential to be a true threat night in and night out. That is exactly what he did in the first night of the season as he dropped 23 points to go with 14 rebounds.

SF – Harrison Barnes: We would love to tag team Kevin Durant and LeBron James at the small forward position. The downside is we are working around a limited budget opening up the door for us to build around a few FanDuel Bargains. Barnes is one of those options in a matchup between two teams that should see a ton of scoring.

Other NBA SF FanDuel Options for Friday October 28^th include Joe Johnson, Aaron Gordon and Bojan Bogdanovic.

PF – Anthony Davis, New Orleans Pelicans: After his opening night performance it is nearly impossible to look past him on Friday Night against the Golden State Warriors. Davis should have a ton of opportunities to score as well as some big time rebound numbers.

PF – Julius Randle, Los Angeles Lakers: After a disappointing 2015-16 NBA season the Lakers could be an up and coming team built around a young nucleus. One of those young stars is Randle who delivered an 18 point, seven rebound, six assists performance in the teams opening night win over the Houston Rockets.

Other NBA PF FanDuel Options for Friday October 28^th include Dirk Nowitzki, Tobias Harris and Marvin Williams.

C – Roy Hibbert, Charlotte Hornets: The Hornets big man is a great fantasy sleeper option for FanDuel owners. Hibbert posted 38.3 fantasy points in his first game of the season offering both a scoring threat as well as a threat on the glass while also posting five blocked shots.
