The NBA playoffs are just around the corner but tonight’s lineup delivers fantasy owners a playoff caliber matchup between the Golden State Warriors and the San Antonio Spurs. While most teams are looking to rest heading into the playoffs the Warriors need this win tonight to position themselves in line for home court advantage throughout the playoffs.

This is just one five NBA contests taking to the hardwood to build our FanDuel lineup around tonight. Now leading up to tonight’s contest we strongly suggest looking at the NBA lineups through out the day. This comes just a day after the Oklahoma City Thunder elected to rest Russell Westbrook, Kevin Durant and Serge Ibaka. The move allowed for Dion Waiters and Enes Kanter to put together monstrous fantasy performances for their owners.

While we love a few of the options in the Warriors/Spurs contest the one name that stands out for us is James Harden. The Houston Rockets will need Harden to put together a big game tonight against the Phoenix Suns in order to keep their playoff hopes alive. The Rockets currently sit just one game behind the Utah Jazz for the eighth and final playoff spot with just four games remaining for each teams.

Now for us we debated going with Stephen Curry and DeMarcus Cousins with Harden giving us a dynamic big three combination. In the end the lack of action tonight provided us with limited fantasy sleeper and bargains. That could change throughout the day if Greg Popovich pulls one of his normal stunts tonight and deciding to rest his key starters. This would then open up the door for a few sleeper options to step up.

Here is our NBA FanDuel lineup for Thursday April 7th, 2016.

PG – Goran Dragic ($6,700): Dragic is a great option at the point guard position tonight against the Chicago Bulls. The Miami Heat point guard is coming off a solid 36 point fantasy performance in his last outing and fifth over his last ten games. Tonight Dragic will get a shot at a Bulls team that has struggled to slow down opposing point guard this season.

PG – Kyle Lowry ($7,900): Now we debated this pick as we considered going with Lowry’s teammate Cory Joseph. The move would allow us to go with Stephen Curry in place of Dragic at the other point guard position.

SG – James Harden ($10,900): This was the easiest of our decisions tonight as we started building our NBA FanDuel lineup. We expect Harden to bounce back with at least 40 fantasy points tonight as the Rockets will need him to help the team stay in playoff contention.

SG – Zach LaVine ($5,400): Looking at the fantasy matchups tonight landed us with the Minnesota Timberwolves shooting guard. Entering tonight the Sacramento Kings are allowing the most fantasy points to opposing shooting guards during the season.

SF – P.J. Tucker ($5,200): Sticking with the top fantasy matchups landed us with Tucker tonight against a Rockets team allowing the most fantasy points to opposing small forwards. That being said Tucker is an interesting case as we have seen him deliver a big time fantasy performance than bounce back to deliver just 10 fantasy points.

SF – Harrison Barnes ($4,800): Now Barnes is more of a fantasy bargain tonight than a sure lock. Entering tonight Barnes has at least 25 fantasy points over his last five games making him a solid fantasy option.

PF – Patrick Peterson ($4,000): Since we elected to go with multiple top fantasy options we needed a few players under the $5k mark. One of those picks is Peterson who has posted back to back games with at least 20 fantasy points as well as five of the teams last six games.

PF – Gorgui Dieng ($5,600): We are looking at Dieng as a potential breakout star tonight. The Timberwolves power forward has the top fantasy matchup among all power forwards tonight against the Kings.

C – Karl-Anthony Towns ($8,900): Towns has been strong for fantasy owners of late posting at least 33 fantasy points in three straight games along with seven games with at least 40 fantasy points over his last ten contests.
