Strategies
The Daily Fantasy Basketball options are thin tonight with a six game NBA Slate taking to the hardwood. At the top of the Daily Fantasy Basketball Ranking list tonight sits Russell Westbrook who is the overall top fantasy basketball option taking to the hardwood tonight.
Entering tonight, Westbrook is riding six straight fantasy performances over the 58 point mark. In that same stretch, Westbrook has topped the 72 point fantasy mark twice as well as 67.7 in one of the other fantasy performances. His lowest fantasy performance in that stretch was in his last game where he finished with just 58.9 fantasy points.
The big question tonight is whether or not Westbrook will deliver close to a six time performance to justify him being the anchor in GPP Tournaments. As far as his matchup tonight will have his hands full against a Memphis Grizzlies team that is allowing the third fewest points to opposing point guards in the NBA.
Along with Westbrook a few of the other top fantasy basketball options tonight include Kyle Lowry, LeBron James and Hassan Whiteside. As far as the best matchups to watch here are the top Over/Under lines for Thursday December 29th, 2016.
Here is our top Daily Fantasy Basketball Options for Thursday December 28th, 2016 on FanDuel.
Point Guards – Kyle Lowry & Deron Williams
After weighing the fantasy options for tonight’s Westbrooks high salary and difficult matchup turned us away from him. While we still expect Westbrook to have a good game but turning in at least a six-time performance in a GPP format will be difficult. This turned us to Lowry and Williams who both have very solid fantasy matchups tonight among teams in action tonight (Suns rank 3rd in FPA to position/ Lakers rank 1st in FPA to position).
Top Tier Fantasy Option We Like: Russell Westbrook & Kemba Walker
Mid Tier Fantasy Option We Like: Tyler Johnson
Fantasy Sleeper Option We Like: Andrew Harrison
Shooting Guards – DeMar DeRozan & Avery Bradley
Tonights Suns/Raptors matchup has all the makings to not only be a high scoring contest but one that sees a ton of fantasy points scored. Currently this contest is projected as the fastest pace among the games in action. This opens up both Lowry and DeRozan as one of the top stack combinations of the night. Along with DeRozan, Bradley has a very favorable matchup against a Cavaliers team that ranks second among teams in action tonight in fantasy points allowed to opposing shooting guards.
Top Tier Fantasy Option We Like: Nicolas Batum
Mid Tier Fantasy Option We Like: Wesley Matthews & Lou Williams
Fantasy Sleeper Option We Like: Rodney Hood

Small Forwards – LeBron James & Gordon Hayward
While it will be nearly impossible to work both of these guys in the same lineup with Lowry and DeRozan they are still the top options. James is as close to a 40 point fantasy performance lock each night. Meanwhile Hayward is coming off his second 40 plus fantasy performance over his last three games. Another strong option is Harrison Barnes who has the top fantasy matchup at the small forward position.

Power Forwards – Kevin Love & Zach Randolph
As we look to the power forward we see a ton of value in the mid to low tier range while Love is our top fantasy option. Meanwhile Randolph will look to continue his solid stretch of fantasy play posting at least 27 fantasy points in three straight games.
