Strategies
The NBA action on FanDuel continues to heat up as the final game of the regular season slowly approaches. This leaves Daily Fantasy Basketball Owners turning to the action each day to capitalize on that one winning lineup. For those owners tonight the NBA delivers a solid six game lineup to find some solid but productice NBA Players to fill out the roster.
The one name that is atop everyone’s wish list tonight is Russell Westbrook who will look to lead his Oklahoma City Thunder to a big time win over a playoff caliber team like the Toronto Raptors. Now the downside is the heavy $13,500 salary that Westbrook carries with him making him a difficult play for other Daily Fantasy Basketball owners.
For us Westbrook looks great for both Cash Game Lineups as well as GPP Formats as even on a bad night the Thunder point guard should turn in 50 fantasy points. One option you could look to pair him with is Jeremy Lin who has not posted less than 20 fantasy points in six straight ball games.
Here are the rest of the NBA Daily Fantasy Basketball Options we like for Thursday March 16th, 2017.
Point Guards – Russell Westbrook & Jamal Murray
Tonight’s options at the point guard position makes us want to build around him even more now. That being said while Westbrook will only reward us a few times here and there with a 6 or 7 time performance he does provide us all with nearly 50 fantasy points a night. Meanwhile we could go with Jeremy Lin or Jamal Murray who has toped the 20 point fantasy mark in four of his last six games. We also like the idea of going with Jeremy Lin who has a very favorable matchup against a very bad Brooklyn Nets squad.
Top Tier Fantasy Option We Like: Stephen Curry
Mid Tier Fantasy Option We Like: Elfrid Payton
Fantasy Sleeper Option We Like: Delon Wright
Shooting Guards – Evan Fournier & Caris LaVert
On a night with very few big name options available it opens up the door for a few names you might not have heard of before turning in big time fantasy games. Now for us we love Fournier as well as a few of his teamamtes in a game that should be extremely fast [pace with a ton of scoring. Meanwhile LaVert is more of a GPP format type of guard who could show up with a big game night in and and night out..
Top Tier Fantasy Option We Like: DeMar DeRozan
Mid Tier Fantasy Option We Like: Courtney Lee & Will Barton
Fantasy Sleeper Option We Like: J.J. Redick
Small Forwards – LeBron James & Rondae Hollis-Jefferson
While we considered going against James with Westbrook in our lineup tonight the end potential makes us like both plays. The Cleveland Cavaliers star is a similar style fantasy option as Westbrook as he enters this game with five straight games above the 41 point fantasy mark. Hollis-Jefferson meanwhile is a big time gamble but he has produced over 27 fantasy points in three of his six games while providing salary cap relief.
Top Tier Fantasy Option We Like: N/A
Mid Tier Fantasy Option We Like: Gordon Hayward
Fantasy Sleeper Option We Like: Vince Carter
Power Forwards – Trevor Booker & Aaron Gordon
The power forward position is one of those slots tonight where we valued potential over actual night in and night out production. This led us to Booker who has a very favorable matchup against a New York Knicks team that is third in the NBA in fantasy points allowed to the position. Meanwhile the other solid Daily Fantasy Basketball option we like tonight is Gordon. The Magic power forward is returning to a bigger and better role since being put back at the position. That success along with the pace of play should allow Gordon to put up big numbers tonight.
Top Tier Fantasy Option We Like: Nikola Jokic
Mid Tier Fantasy Option We Like: Serge Ibaka
Fantasy Sleeper Option We Like: JaMychal Green
Center Option – Brook Lopez
We tossed around a few names we really like tonight that includes Dwight Howard and Guillermo Herangomez. In the end we just couldn’t pass up Lopez who has posted over 32 fantasy points in four of the last five games he suited up. Tonight that success has the real potential to touch 50 points against a New York Knicks team that continues to struggle.
