The Daily Fantasy Basketball continues to heat up as it starts to take center stage in the sports worlds. On Tuesday Night the NBA action features a light five game slate for daily fantasy owners to build their lineups around.
One name that will be at the top of everyone’s Daily Fantasy Wish List is the Houston Rockets shooting guard James Harden. Entering Monday, Harden continues to be one of the top three fantasy options in all of basketball. This includes posting at least 48 fantasy points in four of the Rockets last five games including games with 58.2, 69 and 66.5 fantasy points.
Along with Harden the other top fantasy options on Tuesday Night features Jimmy Butler (38.6 & 55.6 fantasy points last two games), Karl-Anthony Towns (3 games with at least 54 fantasy points over last four games) and DeMar DeRozan (averaging over 40 fantasy points a game).
With that being said Tuesday Night offers a great selection of mid tier and fantasy sleeper options as well. One player we like in the mid-tier level is Wilson Chandler for the Denver Nuggets who will have a very favorable fantasy matchup against a Los Angeles Lakers team that sits third in the NBA in fantasy points allowed to opposing small forwards.
Meanwhile one Daily Fantasy Basketball Sleeper we really like on Tuesday Night is Lou Williams for the Los Angeles Lakers. While Williams is a streaky type fantasy option he displayed his fantasy potential as he finished with 34.6 fantasy points just a few nights ago against the Detroit Pistons.
Here is our top Daily Fantasy Basketball Options on FanDuel for Tuesday Janaury 17th, 2017.
Point Guards – Kyle Lowry & Emmanuel Mudiay
In the end with a very thin top tier point guard class we couldn’t look past Lowry who has the top fantasy matchup of the night against a very bad Brooklyn Nets defense that he posted 41 fantasy points against last week. Mudiay on the other hand is coming off a big time 41.9 point fantasy performance leading into his matchup with a Lakers team that ranks second among teams in stopping opposing point guards.
Top Tier Fantasy Option We Like: Kyle Lowry
Mid Tier Fantasy Option We Like: D’Angelo Russell
Fantasy Sleeper Option We Like: Jameer Nelson
Shooting Guards – James Harden & Lou Williams
Depending on if you are leaning towards GPP or Cash lineups you might decide to lean against Harden. Cash lineups Harden is nearly a must play to help offset the expected high usage. In GPP contests, Harden doesn’t have a top fantasy matchup opening up the door for someone like DeMar DeRozan who would save you nearly $3k while having the better fantasy matchup. Then there is Williams who is coming off a big time fantasy contest who also has the top fantasy matchup of all the shooting guards tonight.
Top Tier Fantasy Option We Like: Demar DeRozan/James Harden
Mid Tier Fantasy Option We Like: Dion Waiters & Dwyane Wade
Fantasy Sleeper Option We Like: Sean Kilpatrick
Small Forwards – Wilson Chandler & DeMarre Carroll
We could have gone a few directions here at the small forward position depending on what combination we decided to use at the shooting guard position. For us we like Chandler as well as his teammate Danilo Galinari against a bad Lakers defense. Along with Chandler, Carroll is a another fantasy cap saver tonight while providing GPP owners between 6-7 times his fantasy value in three of his last four games.
Top Tier Fantasy Option We Like: Jimmy Butler
Mid Tier Fantasy Option We Like: Danilo Galinari & Harrison Barnes
Fantasy Sleeper Option We Like: Bojan Bogdanovic

Power Forwards – Julius Randle & James Johnson
Look for the Lakers/Nuggets contest tonight to be one of the higher scoring contests of the night. This opens up the door for Randle as well as Nikola Jokic as solid fantasy options at the power forward position. Tonight looks to be a good night for Randle to get back on track after positing just 17 and 13 fantsy points over his last to games. Prior to that, the Lakers power forward had posted 38.7, 39.3 and 30.7 over his previous four games. Meanwhile, Johnson has posted over 30 fantasy points in three of his last five games.
Top Tier Fantasy Option We Like: Nikola Jokic
Mid Tier Fantasy Option We Like: Trevor Booker & Gorgui Dieng
Fantasy Sleeper Option We Like: Kanneth Faried
Center Option – Jonas Valanciunas
With very limited top tier fantasy options tonight and a bad fantasy matchup for Towns it opened up the door for the Raptors center. Valanciunas has posted over 30 fantasy points in three straight games including 31.5 just last week against the same Nets team he will face off against tonight. On the low end you could turn to Jusuf Nurkic as a high risk high reward type against the Lakers.
Top Tier Fantasy Option We Like: Karl-Anthony Towns
Mid Tier Fantasy Option We Like: Jonas Vlanciunas
Fantasy Sleeper Option We Like: Jusuf Nurkic & Robin Lopez
