The 2016-17 NBA schedule for Wednesday March 8th, 2017 delivers Daily Fantasy Basketball owners a ton of options with a heavy slate. In all eleven games will take to the hardwood tonight providing a deep list of Daily Fantasy Basketball Options to build from including some solid fantasy sleepers.
Now at the top of the Daily Fantasy Basketball Options are endless with two players averaging over 50 fantasy per game this year while 10 other players in action are averaging over 40 fantasy points. The top two fantasy options on paper are James Harden (difficult matchup against a good Utah Jazz team) and Anthony Davis.
Meanwhile down the salary cap standings sits a few solid options including Aaron Gordon for the Orlando Magic at the power forward position, Tim Hardaway for the Atlanta Hawks at shooting guard position as well as both Malcolm Brogdon and Reggie Jackson at the point guard position.
With all of the Daily Fantasy Basketball Options available tonight here is whom we like to help cash in tonight.
Point Guards – Reggie Jackson & Goran Dragic
For us we could have easily gone with Stephen Curry tonight but we elected to spend big at the power forward position helping us to look for a few lower tier options. One of those options is Goran Dragic who could see a bigger game if James Johnson is out. On the other side Jackson is a home run hitter for GPP lineups against a mediocre Indiana Pacers defense that has struggled at times this season against point guards.
Top Tier Fantasy Option We Like: Stephen Curry & John Wall
Mid Tier Fantasy Option We Like: Jeff Teague
Fantasy Sleeper Option We Like: Ish Smith (If you go against Jackson)
Shooting Guards – Klay Thompson & Tim Hardaway Jr
After a down fantasy performance for Thompson many fantasy owners may look to stay away from him tonight as he is going up against a solid Boston Celtics defense. For us though this contest could see a ton of scoring with two teams that like to move the ball up and down the court making it hard to look past Thompson. On a lower tier level Hardaway will look to take advantage of a Brooklyn Nets team that has allowed the most fantasy points to the shooting guard position this season.
Top Tier Fantasy Option We Like: James Harden
Mid Tier Fantasy Option We Like: Bradley Beal & Dion Waiters
Fantasy Sleeper Option We Like: Rodney Hood & Danny Green
Small Forwards –Kawhi Leonard & Rondae Hollis-Jefferson
The San Antonio Spurs small forward is putting together an MVP caliber season while helping to carry many fantasy owners. The Spurs small forward has been on a roll of late turning in over 51 fantasy points in four straight games. Meanwhile to help offset some of that salary Hollis-Jefferson will look to take advantage of a Atlanta Hawks team that struggles to slow down opposing small forwards.
Top Tier Fantasy Option We Like: Jimmy Butler
Mid Tier Fantasy Option We Like: Otto Porter & Jae Crowder
Fantasy Sleeper Option We Like: C.J. Miles
Power Forwards – Markieff Morris & Aaron Gordon
The power forward position is an interesting slot for us tonight as it all comes down to the health of Nikola Jokic. If Jokic is out as expected Morris is an option we do not want to miss tonight while someone like Paul Millsap could be an option if the Nuggets power forward is on the floor. Nonetheless we are going with Morris till we know more later today. Meanwhile Gordon continue to be a solid fantasy option now that he is back to playing the power forward position including three straight 30 plus fantasy outings.
Top Tier Fantasy Option We Like: Anthony Davis
Mid Tier Fantasy Option We Like: Paul Millsap and Kristaps Porzingis
Fantasy Sleeper Option We Like: Darrell Arthur/Jason Smith (if Nikola Jokic is out)
Center Option – Rudy Gobert
Tonight’s Rockets/Jazz matchup should be entertaining matchup that features some solid fantasy performances. One matchup we love in this contest is Gobert against a Rockets team that has had their hands full slowing down opposing big men. Much of those struggles come from having the smaller center in Clint Capela while some of it comes due to the team’s fast pace of play and shot selection. In two meetings this season, Gobert has averaged 14 points to go along with 14 rebounds while posting over 34 minutes.
Top Tier Fantasy Option We Like: Hassan Whiteside
Mid Tier Fantasy Option We Like: Dwight Howard & Myles Turner
Fantasy Sleeper Option We Like: Bismack Biyombo, Dewayne Dedmon & Kelly Olynyk
