Its that time of year again! That is right Thanksgiving is finally upon us and that means tons of great daily fantasy sports contests and NFL football games will be presented to us as well. With three games spanning the length of the day it is safe to say this will be another amazing Thanksgiving day filled with family, friends, fun, and football. If you are like us sprinkling a little daily fantasy sports always makes the games even more exciting and building NFL football DFS lineups should be a true joy. Lets go through the exercise of creating a lineup we like to start to get a feel for some of the players we are considering locking in before kick off. Its first important to note that Minnesota and Detroit are the lowest total spread at 42 which is always something to take into account. Indianapolis and Pittsburgh are the highest at 53 so we are certainly going to want to target this game. Lets get into picks in hopes of soaking up some knowledge so we all can improve and dream about hitting that one perfect lineup that wins us all the money and some Thanksgiving turkey, potatoes, gravy, pumpkin pie and stuffing as well!
Position 1: Draft Kings NFL Daily Fantasy Sports Lineup Breakdown – Quarterback (QB):
Kirk Cousins (Averages 20.9 daily fantasy sports Pts on the year)
An absolute monster last week in tough playing conditions we ride the hot hand again for value this week. Cousins made good on 21 of 30 pass attempts for 375 yards and three touchdowns with no interceptions in Sunday’s 42-24 victory over the Packers. Lots of weapons on his side here and we get a great QB at an optimal price point.
Daily Fantasy Sports Reason For The Pick: Pick Up Value At QB As DFS Point Seperation At The Quarterback Position Is Rarely Large In Safe Spots
Position 2: Draft Kings NFL Daily Fantasy Sports Lineup Breakdown – Running Back (RB):
Le’Veon Bell (Averages 25.5 daily fantasy sports Pts on the year)
As the highest us RB on the slate in the highest scoring game Le’Veon is a must have. Bell racked up 28 carries for 146 yards and one touchdown during Sunday’s 24-9 victory at Cleveland. In addition to his running, he tacked on eight receptions (on nine targets) for 55 yards. A constant red zone target that can both run and catch. We will take it!
Daily Fantasy Sports Reason For The Pick: Top Tier RB’s On Shorts Slates Are A Must
Position 3: Draft Kings NFL Daily Fantasy Sports Lineup Breakdown – Running Back (RB):
Frank Gore (Averages 15.7 daily fantasy sports Pts on the year)
Another guy that can do it all and is a focus of the offense we pick up a ton of value here. Gore rushed 18 times for 50 yards and took home all four of his targets for 71 yards more Sunday against the Titans. We can feel confident taking both sides of the run in this game no problem.
Daily Fantasy Sports Reason For The Pick: Think About Adding Cheap Multi Threat RB’s
Position 4: Draft Kings NFL Daily Fantasy Sports Lineup Breakdown – Wide Receiver (WR):
Pierre Garcon (Averages 15.7 daily fantasy sports Pts on the year)
Pierre Garcon lead the team in everything last week as far as receiving goes so were rolling him in as a cuff for sure at this price. Garcon caught six of seven targets for 116 yards and a touchdown in Sunday’s 42-24 win over the Packers. D Jackson being back did not detract from Garcon and that is theory were going with again.
Daily Fantasy Sports Reason For The Pick: QB and WR Cuff High Volume Receivers
Position 5: Draft Kings NFL Daily Fantasy Sports Lineup Breakdown – Wide Receiver (WR):
Dez Bryant (Averages 15.7 daily fantasy sports Pts on the year)
A touchdown scoring machine since coming back from injury Dez gets a high paced and favorable matchup during his time to shine on a big stage which he loves. Bryant (back) scored two touchdowns and managed on a team high last week to gather six catches on eight targets for 80 yards in Sunday’s 27-17 win over the Ravens. Dez and Dak seems to not be able to go wrong lately.
Daily Fantasy Sports Reason For The Pick: Play Hot Star WR’s Coming Off Big Games
Position 6: Draft Kings NFL Daily Fantasy Sports Lineup Breakdown – Wide Receiver (WR):
Jamison Crowder (Averages 16.2 daily fantasy sports Pts on the year)
Too juicy of a spot not to double cuff here we will take one of the hottest QB and WR tandoms at these prices in this type of game matchup all day. Crowder turned three targets into three catches for 102 yards and a touchdown in Sunday’s 42-24 win over the Packers. Should get more volume and produce even better in this spot.
Daily Fantasy Sports Reason For The Pick: Don’t Be Afraid To Cuff 2 WR’s If The Price Is Right
Position 7: Draft Kings NFL Daily Fantasy Sports Lineup Breakdown – Tight End (TE):
Kyle Rudolph (Averages 10.9 daily fantasy sports Pts on the year)
On a team decimated by injuries at the wide receiver spot we will take the top tight end and top throwing target in Kyle Rudolph for such a great price. Should be looking for a bounce back week after a tough run last weekend so there should be that factor as well. One of more consistent TE’s in the league that can see upwards of 10 targets and scores so we will lock this in no problem.
Daily Fantasy Sports Reason For The Pick: Play High Targeted Consistent Cheap Tight Ends
Position 8: Draft Kings NFL Daily Fantasy Sports Lineup Breakdown – FLEX:
Theo Riddick (Averages 17.3 daily fantasy sports Pts on the year)
Another team leader in everything throwing last week Theo Riddick is another guy that can do it both on the ground and in the air. Usually scoring by catches Theo has a lot of tools and can get us DFS points in a multitude of ways. He does have the questionable tag as of now so be sure to keep your eyes on the injury news in this specific case.
Daily Fantasy Sports Reason For The Pick: Multi Threat RB’s Are Always A Good Option
Position 9: Draft Kings NFL Daily Fantasy Sports Lineup Breakdown – Defense (D):
Minnesota Vikings (Averages 11.9 daily fantasy sports Pts on the year)
They double every other team in average points. Lowest scoring total game by far. Should be enough said.
Daily Fantasy Sports Reason For The Pick: Spending Up For Top Tier Defenses On Low Over / Under Point Total Games Is Wise
Going to be playing daily fantasy sports this Thanksgiving? We wish you nothing but a happy day and have tons of fun building lineups and waching the games. Happy Thanksgiving from us at RotoGuys to the entire DFS community!
