Fanduel MLB FREE TRIP TO WORLD SERIES 08-08-2017

The excitement continues to build for the 2017 NFL Season as the start of the preseason begins this week. This exciting time of the year also means on the start of another exciting year of fantasy football for both daily and season long leagues. While the teams around the NFL prepare for a stretch run at the Lombardi Trophy this is also a great time for fantasy football owners to prepare for their upcoming fantasy drafts.

Luckily for you we are right there with as we prepare for the upcoming season as well with our 2017 NFL Fantasy Draft Guide. Our first stop in our guide will be today as we take a look around the NFL to find our Top Break Out Fantasy Football options for the upcoming 2017 NFL Season.

Now the easiest options for this list is to turn to the 2017 NFL Draft and some of the top rookies drafted. For us we are looking deeper than that at possible late round picks, undrafted rookies as well as players who might have not shown up around the NFL over the past few seasons.

Here is a look at our Top Break Out Fantasy Football options for the 2017 NFL Season.

Top Breakout Fantasy Football Options – Quarterback

The quarterback position is one of those slots where you need to not only be smart with your pick but also know when to take one. While you can find some value at the position it is very hard to find a breakout candidate at the position as most of the starters around the NFL are slotted in. With that said some real value can be had in the later rounds of your fantasy draft possible finding a solid backup that you could trade or even to replace your top option. For us a few guys we like at the quarterback position include Joe Flacco, Carson Wentz and Paxton Lynch.

Joe Flacco – Now while Flacco is an aging veteran and his injury status may hurt Flacco’s draft status entering the season. In the end if Flacco is healthy he is worth the gamble as a late round pick or a second quarterback option on any team. The team was able to add Jeremy Maclin to the receiving corps this offseason and may be the most polished group he has had since joining the NFL. Add that with the fact the Ravens want to run the ball it should open up his ability to use the play action while also setting up the deep ball.

Carson Wentz – The second quarterback we like and we expect to take big strides forward in 2017 is Wentz. Went who started strong now has a true deep threat with Torrey Smith on the roster. Add Smith with Jordan Matthews and Nelson Agholor the Eagles have some talent at the position. Biggest concern for us is whether or not this team will be able to run the ball to take the pressure off of the second year quarterback.

Paxton Lynch – For us we are eye Lynch as the starter in Denver but whichever of the quarter-backs land the gig should be a viable late round draft pick with an upside. For Lynch he is a mo-bile quarterback who can not only make plays with his arm but also with his feet if he needs to. Add that with the fact he has one of the best one/two punches in the NFL with Demaryius Tho-mas and Emmanuel Sanders makes Lynch or Trevor Siemian a solid candidate to have a breakout season at quarterback. The last reason we like their chances is the fact that Mike McCoy will be taking over the play calling duty as offensive coordinator.

Top Breakout Fantasy Football Options – Running Back

With all eyes on some of the top stars around the NFL as well as Leonard Fournette being the top options at running back, the position has a ton of talent that can be found in both the early and late rounds. For us a guy like Terrance West should see additional touches for the Baltimore Ravens with Kenneth Dixon out while a guy like Javarious Allen could be the work horse for the team near the goal line. Meanwhile someone like Paul Perkins should benefit from playing on a New York Giants team that should have one of the top offenses in the NFL in 2017.

Paul Perkins – We love the Giants running back entering the 2017 NFL season but the question is where will the former UCLA Bruin be drafted in most drafts? If he is getting grabbed in the first three to four rounds, we would stay away but if he is falling we say jump on him. Perkins as well as the other Giants running back should see a ton of holes as opposing defenses look to slow down the top tier tandem of Odell Beckham and Brandon Marshall.

Ameer Abdullah – If healthy this guy can be a difference maker for the Detroit Lions in 2017. Last season, Abdullah showed his ability to be a playmaker fast rushing for 120 yards in week 1 while also getting his fantasy football owners a touchdown. While some fantasy football owners may stay away from him due to the way the Lions use him, we expect the team to rely heavily on him on the ground as well as near the goalies in 2017.

Top Breakout Fantasy Football Options – Wide Receiver

Here is the one position you will find the best bang for the buck in the mid to later rounds as well as on the waiver wire. Remember a few years back when we saw guys like Odell Beckham and Jarvis Landry both fall in fantasy drafts as rookies? This year should be the same as the value at the position is deep with the 2017 NFL rookie class as well as guys that are just ready to break out in the NFL including Nelson Agholor in Philadelphia and DeVante Parker in Miami.

Tyrell Williams – Now this isn’t the Williams everyone will be looking to draft from the San Di-ego Chargers as fantasy football owners look to Mike Williams. For us the injury to Williams and the fact that the Chargers love to throw the ball makes Tyrell a very viable option to put together a solid break out fantasy season. Last season the Chargers ranked near the tops in the NFL in passing attempts and as long as the team has Philip Rivers behind center it should be a solid passing team.

Ted Ginn – For us we love the idea of going with Willie Snead as an earlier round option but Ginn could be that sleeper late round pick that will put up some solid numbers as the New Or-leans Saints main deep threat. With Brandin Cooks gone, the Saints and Drew Bree’s will have a new number one as well as a big time need for Ginn to step in to be a prime threat.

Top Breakout Fantasy Football Options – Tight End

You just never know what to expect from the tight end positions around the NFL outside of the top options like Rob Gronkowski. Last season Dennis Pitta was a key weapon in PPR leagues as he was one of the most thrown to tight ends in the NFL. The question this season is which tight ends out of Gronk, Travis Kelce, Greg Olsen and Jimmy Graham will have a decent season.

Hunter Henry – Much like his teammate Williams, Henry should be a key offensive weapon for the Chargers in 2017 as he slowly emerges as the teams go to tight end. Last season Henry saw less reps than the possible future hall of fame Antonio Gates, but another year older means Gates should be on the field less as the team looks to the future with Henry.

Jack Doyle – Here is another one of those tight end options who should benefit from playing on a team that is built around the pass. Look for Doyle if healthy to have a solid 2017 campaign and could be a key threat for Andrew Luck in the teams passing attack. Last year despite being second on the depth chart at tight end, Doyle was still able to out produce Dwayne Allen in most offensive categories.
