Strategies
The family is gone, the weight has been packed on but the fun has yet to begin as we all look to cash in on FanDuel this weekend. Despite losing two additional games for this weekend’s slate of games we still have plenty of top tier fantasy options to build a winning lineup around.
This includes a few potential high scoring contests to build around including the New Orleans Saints traveling to take on the Houston Texans set with a line of 48. Following that game the Washington Redskins/New York Giants NFC East showdown is set with 47 followed by the San Diego Chargers/Jacksonville Jaguars at 46.5 points.
Along with the high scoring contest we also have a chance to look at a few other games to find a few cheaper options to build around. One of those players is quarterback Brian Hoyer is slated to start against the Saints. Entering this weekend’s contest, the Saints have allowed a league high 3,081 yards and 28 passing touchdowns. Another solid quarterback option this weekend is Josh McCown for the Cleveland Browns against a very bad Baltimore Ravens team.
Here is our week 12 NFL FanDuel lineup for Sunday.
Quarterback –Blake Bortles ($7,300): Despite coming off his worst fantasy performances in nine games we like Bortles this weekend against the San Diego Chargers. Espicially if this game comes down to a shootout between Bortles and Phillips Rivers.
Other top NFL FanDuel Quarterback Options include Brian Hoyer, Matt Schaub (Deep Sleeper) and Josh McCown.
Running Back – T.J. Yeldon ($6,500): We honestly love this matchup between the Jaguars/Chargers from a fantasy perspective. Yelson is facing off against a Chargers defense that has allowed over 1,700 combined yards and 13 touchdowns to opposing running backs this season.
Running Back – Javorius Allen ($6,300): We considered using Terrance West as a deep fantasy sleeper against his former Browns team. That being said look for offensive coordinator Marc Trestman to work Allen into the Baltimore Ravens passing attack from the start of the game.
Other top NFL FanDuel Running Back Options include Chris Johnson, Chris Ivory and Adrian Peterson.
Wide Receiver – Allen Robinson ($7,900): If Allen Hurns was healthy we could consider going that direction. That being said, Robinson has logged double digit fantasy performances in seven straight games add in the fact we have Bortles raises his fantasy value.
Wide Receiver – DeAndre Hopkins ($9,400): The price tag is heavy on Hopkins but is easy to value with six games with at least 20 plus fantasy points over his last ten outings. Add in his week 12 matchup against a Saints team that has allowed a league high 28 passing touchdowns and Hopkins becomes our top option.
Wide Receiver – Steve Johnson ($5,500): As we have stated we expect the Jaguars/Chargers game to be a high scoring contest. If this game becomes a shootout we could see some big time passing games for both quarterbacks as well as a ton of receiving yards for receivers.
Other top NFL FanDuel Wide Receiver Options include Kamar Aiken, Marques Colston, Dorial Green-Beckham, Larry Fitzgerald and Stefon Diggs.
Tight End –Crockett Gilmore ($5,600): Gilmore is emerging as the top receiving option in the Ravens offense. One big question is whether or not Gilmore and Schaub will be the chemisty that Gilmore and Flacco had built over the past few weeks.
Other top NFL FanDuel Tight End Options include Rob Gronkowski, Delanie Walker and Jordan Reed.
Kicker – Stephen Gostkowski ($5,200): While the New England Patriots kicker is a little pricey we expect him to have some opportunities to put some threes on the board. Add in the high altitude and the additional distance on the kicks makes him a great fantasy option.
Other top NFL FanDuel Kicker Options include Justin Tucker, Chandler Catanzaro and Jason Myers.
Defense – Cincinnati Bengals ($4,800): The first place Bengals have a very nice matchup this weekend with the St. Louis Rams. For us outside of potential big game from Todd Gurley the Rams offense has under performed this season making the Bengals a great play this weekend.
Other top NFL Defense Options include Baltimore Ravens, Arizona Cardinals and Seattle Seahawks.
