Joe Flacco, Mark Sanchez both find themselves on the fantasy bench in week 14. Flacco and the Baltimore Ravens head to Miami to take on a Dolphins team that has allowed the second fewest points to the quarterback position this week. That includes the second fewest yards allowed along with only 18 touchdown passes in 12 games.
As far as other top concerns with the Ravens offense starts at the wide receiver position as Torrey Smith, Marlon Brown and Michael Campanaro are all battling injuries. The other concern with the passing game has been the teams ability to hold on the ball including several key passes in the team’s week 13 loss.
Much like Flacco, Sanchez has a difficult matchup against the Seattle Seahawks at home. Not that Sanchez has been a big time fantasy producer since taking over for the injured Nick Foles but many fantasy owners were using him in one week fantasy leagues expecting the Eagles high powered offense to continue to put up points.
On the season, the Seahawks have seen a decrease in interceptions but have allowed the fewest passing yards in the league as well as the third fewest amount of passing touchdowns. The Seahawks are also allowing the third fewest amount of points per game at 18.4 including six games allowing less than 20 points.
Here are some of the other fantasy players around the NFL to avoid in week 14.
Lamar Miller, Miami Dolphins: The Dolphins passing attack should be able to take advantage of the Ravens secondary but Miller should have a long day running the ball. The Ravens have allowed only four rushing touchdowns on the season to opposing running backs to go along with two touchdown receptions.
Fred Jackson, Buffalo Bills: Jackson might be the main back in the Bills offense but that shouldn’t justify putting him into your starting lineup. The Bills take on a Denver Broncos defense that has allowed the fewest touchdowns to the running back position in the NFL with a total of three.
Jordan Matthews/Jeremy Maclin, Philadelphia Eagles: The Eagles tandem have been a nice reward for their fantasy owners but the idea of either of them going up against Richard Sherman should have you changing your mind. Sherman recorded two interceptions last week and nearly added a third one that he dropped.
Keenan Allen, San Diego Chargers: Allen put together a big game in week 13 pulling in 11 catches for 121 yards and two touchdowns. The problem was that came against a very bad Ravens secondary and this week he will more than likely have Darrelle Revis covering him the entire game.
Here are some other fantasy players to avoid in week 14 that includes Michael Crabtree, Josh McCown, Buffalo Bills Defense/Special Teams and Greg Olson.
