The top 10 fantasy player leaderboard is filled with quarterbacks after two weeks of NFL action. The list is headlined by Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck who is averaging around 24 points a game. In his first two games this season Luck has completed 55 of 87 passes for 542 yards with five passing touchdowns. Luck has also added 39 yards on the ground along with a touchdown earning him the top fantasy spot.
The Colts quarterback is joined by four other quarterbacks, two wide receivers, two tight ends and one running back. Five of the top 10 NFL fantasy players are currently averaging at least 22 points or more a game.
Here is the complete top 10 list of NFL fantasy players heading into week 3.
1. Andrew Luck, Quarterback (24.3 FPG): The Colts quarterback got off to fast start in week 1 throwing for 370 yards with two passing touchdowns, one rushing touchdown and two interceptions. Luck followed the performance up with three touchdown passes on Monday Night football.
Week 3 Opponent: Jacksonville Jaguars
2. Jay Cutler, Quarterback: (22.8 FPG): Cutler started the season completing 34 passes for 349 yards and two touchdowns. The Bears quarterback put together an even better performance on Sunday Night Football against a San Francisco 49ers team opening up their new stadium. Cutler finished with 176 yards on 23 completions with four passing touchdowns.
Week 3 Opponent: New York Jets
3. Matt Ryan, Quarterback: (22.2 FPG): The two week stretch was a roller coaster for Matt Ryan with a big week 1 performance followed by a subpar performance in week 2. Ryan finished week 1 with three touchdown passes and 448 yards but managed only 231 yards with one touchdown in week 2.
Week 3 Opponent: Tampa Bay Buccaneers
4. Jordy Nelson, Wide Receiver (22.1 FPG): Nelson continues to be Aaron Rodgers number one target pulling in 18 passes over the first two games. In week 1, the Packers receiver finished with 83 yards and followed that performance up with 209 yards and a touchdown in week 2.
Week 3 Opponent: Detroit Lions
5. Peyton Manning, Quarterback (22 FPG): The reigning NFL MVP is off to a slower pace than in 2013 but still has 6 touchdowns to show for it. Manning has yet to throw for over 300 yards in a game but has back to back games with three touchdown passes.
Week 3 Opponent: Seattle Seahawks
6. Julius Thomas, Tight End (21.9 FPG): Thomas got off to a hot start in week 1 pulling in three first half touchdowns against the Indianapolis Colts. The Denver Broncos tight end has emerged as one of the NFL’s top tight ends with much of the success owed to his quarterback.

7. Darren Sproles, Running Back (21.9 FPG): Sproles might not be the Philadelphia Eagles running back we expected on this list but after two weeks he has 263 combined yards and two touchdowns. Sproles pulled in seven catches for a game high 152 yards on Monday Night Football.
Week 3 Opponent: Washington Redskins
8. Matthew Stafford, Quarterback (21.7 FPG): The Detroit Lions quarterback has put himself in an elite class of fantasy quarterbacks. In two games this season Stafford has 637 yards passing with three touchdowns and one rushing touchdown.
Week 3 Opponent: Green Bay Packers
9. Calvin Johnson, Wide Receiver (21.6 FPG): The NFL’s best wide receiver continues his surge as one of the top fantasy players around the NFL. Johnson pulled in seven catches for 164 yards with two touchdowns in the Lions opening win and added 83 more yards in week 2.
Week 3 Opponent: Green Bay Packers
10. Antonio Gates, Tight End (21.1 FPG): Gates isn’t the same type of fantasy player he was a few seasons ago but he showed he can still be very productive. On Sunday against one of the NFL’s top defenses Gates pulled in seven catches for 96 yards and three touchdowns.
